Wolves' top scorer Kenny Miller has recovered from an ankle problem to start.

Williams and Ince lead the respective teams out into the Madejski Stadium to rapturous applause.

Wolves kick-off in their familiar Gold and Blcak strip. Reading wear their Blue and White hoops.

Henderson chips the ball in the box. Cureton fires off a volley that a nervous Murray spils.

Blake looks to flick the ball through to Cameron. Williams sees the danger and steps out of the Reading defence to clear the danger.

Henderson hits the ball down the line for Hughes to chase. He hasn't got the pace and Naylor takes possession for Wolves.

Little controls the ball on his chest and brings it inside. He plays the ball into Cureton, who turns and fires a shot into Wolves' defence.

Little, playing instead of Chadwick, crosses from the right but Murray comes off his line to collect the ball.

Brown, playing with a broken nose, hits it long for Hughes, who is caught offside.

Wolves play the ball back to Murray, who scuffs his clearence and is still looking nervous.

At the other end Blake crosses from the right and Hahnemann comes off his line to take the ball cleanly.

Hughes drives at the Wolves defence. He looks up and passes to Cureton at the back post, but Butler is there to head clear.

The game is settling down as both teams battle in midfield.

Harper hurdles two tackles and finds Sidwell. The midfielder looks for a throughball but Butler reads the danger.

Ince brings the ball out for Wolves. He threads the ball through to Blake, who crosses from the right. Shorey blocks the pass and Hahnemann prevents a corner.

Murty whips in cross and Irwin is forced to head over his own bar. Corner - Reading's third.

Harper delivers to the near post and Little can't direct his header. Goalkick.

Williams hits it long for Sidwell, who nods the ball down as Cureton lines-up a volley.....

...The striker hits his shot high and wide from 25-yards out.

Wolves have struggled to get their passing game going. Irwin hits a hopeful ball down the line.

Newton forces Shorey into a mistake and manages to cross form the right. Kennedy manages to get his head to the ball but Hahnemann collects his weak effort with ease.

After a lively start the game has got scrappy and the crowd are subdued.

Naylor lofts a freekick inot the box. Brown heads clear but the ball drops to Butler, who fires a shot into the Royals defence.

Brown takes out Blake and gets booked.

Blake hobbles inot the box as Naylor hits the freekick forward. Ince heads over the bar as he back-pedals.

Harper clips the ball to the far side of the box for Little, who nods the back for Williams to hit a wild shot form outside the box.

Irwin takes his time over a throw. He eventually tries to find Newton, who hits the ball out for a Reading goalkick.

Irwin lofts the ball forward for Cameron, who controls the ball on his chest and gets away from Brown.....

....He turns and hits a dipping shot from the corner of the box that Hahnemann stoops to collect.

Blake finds Newton in the corner, who returns the ball Blake. His long-range shot is blocked.

Cureton finds some space to run into. He races towards the Wolves goal and fires off a 30-yard shot.....

...Murray fumbles the shot, but has his body behind the ball and collects on the second attempt.

Miller slips the ball through to Blake ni the box. The striker spins and cuts the ball back for Newton......

....Sidwell sticks out a boot to make a vital interception and turn the ball over his own bar.

Reading break. Henderson finshes off a nice move by blasting a shot into row Z.

Sidwell fouls Ince and the veteran midfielder gives his opposite number a piece of his mind.

Little shrugs off Cameron and makes a great run down the flank. He looks for Hughes but plays a poor ball after all his hard work.

Lescott leaps over a Reading striker to make aheadre and the home crowd shout for a penalty. The ref doesn't agree.

Hughes finds space for a cross. Little nods the ball back across the face of goal, its half cleared to Sidwell who hoofs the ball 50-miles over the crossbar.

On present showing neither of these teams deserve to be in the Premiership.

Hughes races down the right flank and wins a corner off Lescott. A chance for a set piece.....

....Harper whips in the corner. Brown stoops to fire off a powerful downward header and Murray saves from point-blank range.

The header was straight at Murray, who still saved well and looks to be growing in confidence.

Naylor lofts the ball into the box. Miller tries to reach around Brown to poke the ball home but it runs through to Hahnemann.

Merty breaks up the play and drives forward. Cureton and Henderson crowd each other and Wolves clear.

Cameron latches onto a long throughball. He spins in the box and Williams slides in a vital challenge to block his shot.

Reading are little more cautios going forward having been hit on the break by Cameron.

Miller finds Newton on the edge of the box. The winger skips past Brown with ease but fires his shot well over.

0-0 at half-time and still all to play for.

Reading had the best of the action early on but Wolves fought back inot the game and nearly scored on the break.

Reading get the second-half underway needing a goal.

Little chips the ball down the line for Hughes. The linesman rules the ball out of play and Hughes is furious.

Reading play the ball across the back four. They are not going gung-ho looking for a goal straight after the break.

Newton loses possession and fouls Cureton as he battles to get it back. Yellow card.

Wolves are 3 v 2 on the break, but Blake plays a diabolical pass and Harper comes across to clear for Reading.

Cureton takes the ball down well and looks to chip it over Lescott. The defender blocks the chip to howls of handball from the crowd.

Ince challenges Brown, strongly. He gets away with a talking to.

Sidwell chips the ball up to Hughes, who claims he was hauled down on the edge of the box by Lescott. The ref does not agree.

Ince cuts out a poor ball from the the left by Shorey. The veteran breaks but is hauled down by Sidwell. Freekick.

Reading are continuing to probe the Wolves defence but can't find a way through.

Wolves are sitting deep as Shorey hits a wayward cross out for a goalkick.

Blake has taken a blow to his wrist and is running about the pitch clutching his arm.

Reading are still looking for long, high balls up to the front players, even though it has been nowhere near working as yet.

Ince finds space for a long-shot, but it drifts wide of the post.

Reading build on the edge of Wolves box. hughes spots Henderson's run and feeeds him the ball in the box.....

....Henderson shoots from wide left and Murray does well to palm the ball past the far post.

The reading back four are pushing up to the halfway line, unchallenged when in possession.

Shorey wins a freekick. Harper flicks it down the left for Shorey to square into the box. Lescott clears.

Reading make a change. Rougier replaces Henderson on the left flank.

Butler heads the ball back to Murray under pressure. The keeper hoofs it down field and Miller gives away a foul.

Sidwell clatters Naylor and the midfielder gets booked for the challenge.

Wolves play head tennis on the edge of the Reading box until Brown gets the ball clear and Rougier is fouled.

Little drives down the right. He cuts inside, plays a one-two and sets himself to shoot....

...Naylor slides in with a chllenge and Little's shot flies over the bar.

Reading make another change. Sidwell, who has been booked, is replaced by Watson.

Ince knicks the ball from Watson and finds Miller. The striker drives at the Reading defence and plays the ball into the box.....

....Ince chases the pass but Hahnemann races off his line to beat the midfielder to the ball.

Irwin lofts the ball to blake, who chests it down and wins a throw deep in Reading's half.

Harper drives at Lescott, side steps and slips the ball through to Rougier and the left of the box.....

...the winger stabs away a shot with his right boot and recoils in horror as it whistles wide.

Wolves make a defensive change. Off goes striker Miller and on comes midfielder Rae.

Murty overlpas for Little but the Midfielder decides to go himself and runs straight into Ince and Cameron.

Cameron chips the ball into the area for Blake. Brown concedes a throw as he defends his goal.

Little takes on Kennedy but slips and gives the ball away. Murty wins a freekick on the left of the box for Reading......

....Harper whips it in and Cureton heads over the bar from close-range, under pressure from Irwin.

Rae drags the ball as he spins into the box. He leaves Williams wrong footed and lines up a shot.....

...the substitute looks up and drills the ball into the far corner of the net. GOAL!!!

Reading need two goals now.......and so far they haven't looked like scoring one.

Wolves are happy to run down the clock. Lescott hoofs the ball into the corner as the Wolves fans make themselves heard.

Reading make a change and on loan Luke Chadwick replaces Little.

Wolves follow suit and Sturridge replaces Blake, who looks to be carrying an injury.

Hahnemann plays the ball short for Brown, who looks up and hits a long-ball for Murty. The defender wins a corner.

Harper whips it in but there is nobody at the back post to convert Hughes' flick on.

Sturridge breaks for Wolves. He slots the ball in the back of the net but the linesman has his flag up for offside.

Rae brings the ball forward for Wolves. He draw in two players and finds Sturridge. Brown makes a vital tackle.

Chadwick sucks in Naylor and flicks the ball past him but Kennedy covers for the defender.

Wolves run the clock down with another change. Cooper comes on for Newton.

Hahnemann takes a freekick from the halfway line as Reading desperately look for a goal. The keeper overhits the pass and Wolves have a goalkick.

The ref blows for fulltime and the Wolves fans burst into song.

Wolves have made it to the play-off final in Cardiff and are only 90mins away from Premiership football.

Reading, who were only promoted from the Second Division last season, face another term in Division One.
