2. Carlos Tevez is handed a starting berth but £30.75million record signing Dimitar Berbatov is only on the bench. Sir Alex Ferguson makes two further changes to the side which came from behind to beat Wigan on Wednesday, Darren Fletcher and Ryan Giggs replacing Anderson and Paul Scholes.

3. The Gunners are without injured duo Manuel Almunia and Emmanuel Adebayor. However, they do have Andrei Arshavin available, the Russia striker now recovered from flu after missing the recent Champions League mauling by the Red Devils as he was blocked from playing.

4. The atmosphere is building at Old Trafford, the fans signing "we're going to Italy" to the tune of "Que Sera Sera". They'll be there for the Champions League final on May 27.
