1. All the action as the Red Devils look to to avenge the Worthington Cup final defeat and regain the lead in the Premiership. Kicking off at 12.30 pm BST.

2. David Beckham is a shock absentee from the Manchester United line-up. Beckham is only named among the substitutes, with rumours circulating that he had been suffering from a touch of flu over the past few days

3. Beckham is joined on the bench by international team-mate Nicky Butt, with Phil Neville, who is suspended for next week's game, joining skipper Roy Keane in midfield. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took Beckham's right-sided midfield berth

4. Michael Owen fails to overcome the back problem which forced him out of England's midweek win over Turkey. Milan Baros is named in attack by Gerard Houllier

   Van Nistelrooy's first time volley is comfortably pushed round the post by Dudek

   Keane finds Giggs on the left but he loses out to Carragher

    Scholes plays a fine ball through the centre for Van Nistelrooy. He's through on goal and it's a great chance to break the deadlock...
