Chelsea – Aston Villa

1. Hello and welcome to the live commentary for Villa's game at Chelsea.

2. David Luiz will again take a place in midfield for Chelsea after impressing in the Club World Cup victory over Monterrey.

3. The form of Fernando Torres could well be a key factor in the game, and Rafa Benitez believes the Spain striker is <a href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1275264/rafa-benitez-believes-fernando-torres-is-reaching-his-peak?cc=4716" target="_blank">getting back to his best</a>.

4. However, it could well be a tough game for the hosts, who are likely to be feeling the effects of fatigue after returning from Japan at the start of the week and then facing Leeds on Wednesday in the League Cup.

5. Villa, who start with Christian Benteke and Andreas Weimann in attack, have also started to find their feet under Paul Lambert, and their convincing victory over Liverpool should serve as a warning for the Blues.

6. Benitez has told Sky he has selected "a team for winning" but stressed the need to "use the squad" given the fixture pile-up.

10. It will be Frank Lampard's 500th Premier League game. Villa won at the Bridge last season - can they repeat the feat and spoil his big occasion?

    Westwood gets a touch for Villa, but they can't really put anything together at all at the moment in the way of passing.

    That said, Chelsea produce a wayward moment of their own, the ball flying into touch before Ashley Cole can get anywhere near it.

    Then Moses does well to find some space down the right for Chelsea - his cross is dangerous, but scrambled away.

    He's on the edge of the box and hits a shot that deflects from a corner. The kick is played deep to Lampard, who volleys into the ground and Guzan saves.
