Aston Villa – Chelsea

Join us at 1700 BST to see if Villa can get some revenge for their 7-1 drubbing against Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

So, Aston Villa have the chance to put their 7-1 thrashing behind them by beating Chelsea at Wembley. The Blues meanwhile, close on a double if they win this.

Chelsea welcome Drogba at the expense of Anelka. James Milner back for Villa in place of Fabian Delph. Both teams short on changes though Richard Dunne is fit to play.

This is a repeat of one of the worst matches of all time - the FA Cup Final of 2000 - at the old Wembley. That was an absolute stinker of Billingsgate proportions. We hope for better here.

Aston Villa may have bad memories of their last visit to the new Wembley. Martin O'Neill is still going on about the Vidic incident in the Carling Cup Final. Perhaps his team can give him something to cheer about.

Chelsea kick us off at Wembley, they are shooting from right to left.

The Wembley pitch is looking like velvet on a sunny day in north London today.

Carew makes a bustling run down the Villa right, but fails to win the throw.

Terry is caught out as Agbonlahor tries to turn Alex. But he focres the first corner for Villa.

Cech punches the corner away with confidence.

Downing takes on Zhirkov but the Russian recovers well and wins the tackle.

Ashley Young tries to get Agbonlahor away but his pass is intercepted.

Young tries another ball for Agbonlahor but again Young fails to find his target. Both sides battling for the right to play here.

Carew is penalised for barging into the back of Ferreira.

Zhirkov wins a corner for Chelsea after picking up the overlapping pass from Malouda.

Alex wins the header from the outswinging corner but can't get any power on the header.

Joe Cole cuts inside Cueller and pulls his shot just wide of the near post. Lampard played him in and that was nice play from Chelsea.

Young breaks again for Villa but his right-footed cross from the left is overhit and goes out for a goalkick.

Agbonlahor plays a heavy pass as Villa attack and the move breaks down.

Great chance for Milner. Set up by Petrov after he squared the ball to the Englishman on the edge of the box and Milner's shot had Cech scrmabling - just wide of the left hand post.

Big penalty claim turned down for Villa. Unbelievable how Howard Webb hasn't given that. Mikel has clearly mistimed his tackle and chopped Agbonlahor in the box and Villa can't believe it. Neither can I.

Martin O'Neill is livid, and rightly so.

Agbonlahor was pumping the ground with his fists when Webb turned down that appeal.

Cueller forces a corner for Villa. His low cross is cut out by Terry.

Cech punches clear but Chelsea are still under pressure.

Villa force another corner through Ashley Young.

Collins fouls Mikel, and now Chelsea can relax for the first time in five minutes. Good spell by Villa.

Villa force Chelsea back into their own half but Chelsea are keeping the ball well at the moment.

Cueller makes an important challenge on Malouda, who's looking dangerous.

Chelsea are stretched here. Milner crosses for Carew and Terry clears for a throw in an attacking position.

Deco is penalised for a trip on Petrov. Free kick to Villa in a good position on the left.

Drogba and Milner link well and Drogba's cross from the left is crucially headed clear by Milner. Chelsea haven't been at their best so far but Drogba reminding Villa of the threat he carries there.

Villa force and error from Zhirkov who passes the ball straight out of play. Good pressure from the Villa midfield there.

Very close for Villa there. Downing crosses for Carew after good work from Agbonlahor. Crucial flick from Terry. That was very close for Villa, who just about deserve to be in front so far.

Chelsea come close this time. Malouda does well to find Drogba whose shot is blocked by Warnock who put his body on the line to stop that going in. Great defending.

Agbonlahor is fouled by Mikel. Shame Howard Webb didn't give the same decision in the box earlier.

Drogba had the chance to release Lampard who was in a good position but the execution of the pass was poor by Drogba. Thye Ivorian is coming into the game more now, which isn't good news for Villa.

Chelsea win a free kick which Drogba strikes optimistically from distance, the ball hits the wall.

But Chelsea keep it alive and Malouda's cross is headed into the path of Joe Cole by Warnock and Cole's shot is low but straight at Freidel from less than 10 yards out.

Chelsea are ending the half strongly.

Lampard's floated pass into the box is headed down by Drogba to Malouda who, under pressure from Collins, hits it way over.

Zhirkov thinks he is fouled by the bearded Cuellar. But he isn't.

Good pace from Downing to get away from Zhirkov. He wins a throw down the right from the Russian.

Petrov and Deco tussle in midfield, and Petrov wins the free kick.

Downing looking for Carew from the right, headed out by Terry. Cuellar is then penalised for a foul throw. Schoolboy.

And Chelsea play their way out of more Villa pressure.

And the halftime whistle blows. At half time it's 0-0 but given the penalty the referee didn't give, Villa will feel aggrieved to be behind.

And the seconf half is underway.

And early pressure from Villa. They win a corner from Ferreira.

John Carew comes very close after heading Downing's corner goalwards. Cech is beaten but watches it go just wide. Good early pressure.

And now it's Chelsea's turn to turn up the pressure, they've won a corner.

But the corner is headed clear by Collins, the subsequent ball to Lampard from Ferreira finds the England man in an offside position.

Zhirkov finds Drogba down the left and Collins dives in with a good tackle, but it's another corner to Chelsea.

Corner is headed out by Dunne but Deco lets fly. Good effort on the half volley but well wide in the end.

And that's deserved for Deco. It's at least the third time he has fouled Petrov and Webb decides enough is enough.

Young wins throw in a dangerous position on the right for Villa.

Terry sweeps up again. The former England captain has been very solid so far.

Drogba does well to squeeze in a cross from the left and Joe Cole is stretching but can't quite get on the end of it.

Chelsea are beginning to control things at Wembley, but the Villa fans are getting behind their side.

Milner forces his way past Ferreira on the left and puts a dangerous cross in the box. Chelsea escape.

For a moment Chelsea look like they can counter attack but the ball to Drogba gets away from him and Villa take a goal kick.

Villa come forward again with Young and rather than crossing for Carew from the right he seems to get caught in two minds and shoots instead. Big waste.

Lampard lifts the ball into Drogba but the Ivorian, under pressure from Dunne, can't get a shot away. Half chance.

Downing's shot from distance is blocked by Lampard. Villa corner.

Young's corner is headed over by Collins under pressure from Alex.

Chelsea sub: Kalou on for Joe Cole

The Chelsea fans are not happy with that, boos ring around the blue half of Wembley as Cole trudges off.

Young wastes another chance to cross and the chance goes begging.

Chelsea counter attack with Drogba, who cuts inside Collins but Dunne clears for a corner.

GOAL! 1-0 CHELSEA

It's another Wembley goal for Drogba. The corner is headed clear as far as Terry who shoots from the edge of the box. The ball is going wide but Drogba re-directs the ball into the left side of the goal.

That was clever thinking by Drogba and Villa need to stage another comeback to win here.

The header by Dunne that went straight to Terry in the lead up to the goal was a poor one. Dunne will be disappointed that his header went straight to Terry.

Milner is dispossessed by Drogba who finds Malouda and then Lampard, who shoots from distance in typical Lampard fashion. But this one is no problem for Friedel.

Malouda is found in space on the left but seemed to lose his footing as he attempted to cross. Villa goal kick.

Malouda forces another Chelsea corner.

Yellow card: Terry (Chelsea)

Horrible tackle by Terry on Milner. He's gone flying in on his England teammate with excessive force, catching him just above the ankle. Terry is lucky that wasn't red.

Chelsea sub: Ballack on for Deco

Deco is being withdrawn moments after coming close to picking up a second yellow card.

Villa win a corner and Downing whips it in from the left. He finds Ashley Young whose header is tame. If Carew was on the end of that it may have been different.

It's end to end at Wembley. Now Chelsea force a corner, but Mikel is penalised for a foul.

Young puts a cross in from the left, Cech gathers.

Chelsea sub: Anelka on for Drogba

Drogba is fouled by Downing and then withdrawn. Ancelotti has now used all his subs, with 10 minutes of the 90 remaining.

Nice move by Chelsea, started by Ballack. The ball finally gets to Kalou, who cuts in from the left and shoots right-footed just wide of the far post.

Lampard hooks the ball to Malouda who is off balance as he shoots. The ball goes wide.

Mikel gets a yellow for a late challenge on Milner.

Agbonlahor nearly gets the better of Terry, but Terry does just enough to recover and clear. Terry has been excellent today.

Heskey has come on and is proving to be a handful. Villa are not giving up easy here.

Chelsea on the attack as Ballack spreads the play out to Anelka on the left, but Anelka slips at the crucial moment and Zhirkov can't keep the ball in play.

GOAL! 2-0 CHELSEA

It's Malouda for Chelsea. Lampard plays it to Ballack on the right, Ballack puts a perfect cross in for Malouda who taps in at the back post. Very nice goal, and Malouda deserves that.

The fourth official has indicated 4 added minutes.

But that's surely it, and Chelsea are within touching distance of their second consecutive FA Cup final.

Downing puts in a terrible cross after Milner set him up on a plate down the left.

Should have been 3-0 to Chelsea. Freidel makes a good save from Kalou and Malouda snatches at the rebound when he had time to compose himself.

Anelka has a chance in a crowded Villa penalty box, but scuffs his shot. Villa hack it away.

GOAL! 3-0 Chelsea

Lampard finishes the game in style. Malouda bursts forward and finds Anelka who lays it off to Lampard who cuts inside and shoots from 12 yards.

The 3-0 scoreline flatters Chelsea in the end but it's game set and match.

And the final whistle is blown. Chelsea are in the FA Cup final again, Villa are on the end of a big defeat to Chelsea again.
