1. Join us for Live Commentary from the weekend's main event; the top of the table clash at the Emirates Stadium between Arsenal and Manchester United. Team news and pre-game build-up from 12.30pm UK time on Saturday.

2. The teams are in for today's High Noon showdown, first up the home side. Arsenal: Almunia, Sagna, Toure, Gallas, Clichy, Eboue, Fabregas, Flamini, Rosicky, Hleb, Adebayor. And the subs: Lehmann, Diarra, Eduardo, Silva, Walcott.

3. Lining up for the visitors: Man Utd: Van der Sar, Brown, Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Ronaldo, Anderson, Hargreaves, Giggs, Tevez, Rooney. On the bench: Kuszczak, Saha, Carrick, Nani, O'Shea.

4. It is sure to be a high octane, passionate game and so the pressure will be on the match referee: Howard Webb from the beautiful county of South Yorkshire. A decent ref, but will he be up to the game?

7. Webb blows his whistle and Arsenal kick us off

8. Immediately Rosicky and Adebayor run into each other and leave Hleb to run into no-man's-land and out for a United goalkick. Very funny!

   The crowd are in good voice as Toure hussles Rooney off the ball on a rampaging run down the left flank

    Evra and kicks make a mess of a throw-in and Arsenal break from deep

    The ball ended up with Clichy in an advanced position but the left-back shooting prowess left a lot to be desired - goalkick

    As expected it's been a hectic, frenetic start with the ball pinging around; but it has been end-to-end action, not simply midfield rough-housing

    Brown fould Rosicky. As a defender there's being tight to your man, and trying to wear his shirt - this was the latter

    Noise reaching new heights as Anderson and Flamini get a bit niggly after a fall

    United looking a little nervy at the back as they come under pressure from Arsenal - Rio and Evra both making slight errors but escaping

    Hargreaves is the anchor-man for United today - how he manages to disrupt Flamini and Fabregas will be vital for United's ambitions.

    Ronaldo's downward header shaved the post, but the ref blows up for climing by the speedy winger

    Rooney feeds Giggs a decent ball behind Eboue. Giggs gets to the byline and clips a pass inside for the late arriving Tevez, but Sagna did just enough and the Argentine's shot fizzes wide

    United applying the pressure testing Gallas and Toure. Foul given against Rooney who looked to make the most of the defenders mistake

    Flag up for offside against Adebayor - the defenders playing a risky high line. Replays showed the mistake-prone Brown was almost playing the man onside - risky.

    Hargreaves wins a great ball in the middle before Fabregas takes out Anderson. The ref says foul, the crowd say no. I say no as well, but they ref is just trying to keep a lid on the aggression. Fab won the ball, but in doing so he took out Anderson.

    Rosicky, Hleb and Adebayor work a nice move down the left. As Hleb drove toward the byline Vidic had a handful of the attackers shirt. No foul says the ref. Lucky boy, Vidic.

    First yellow of the game. The lucky recipient is Evra for ridiculous lunge on Adebyaor.

    The resulting freekick is wasted and after some head tennis United break

    Ronaldo whips a ball into the box. Sagna at the back post marking Giggs leaves the ball, which surprises Giggs and he can't react quick enough to try a shot. Very close call. Giggs looked miffed to have had a half chance.

    Ronaldo nips the ball past Toure with a Pele-esque 1970 dummy but Gallas was there to clear

    Giggs has a moan at the ref. Not sure about what. Miserable so-and-so!

    Eboue takes out Evra from behind. The ref says it's not a yellow card. A furious Alex Ferguson, who saw the incident 10 feet in front of him is most unhappy

    A few niggly tackles startign to creep in as the game gets caught in the midfield battle

    Arsenal and Untied are taking it in turns to try and work neat passing moves in the centre; each side maange three passes before the oppostion break it down

    Giggs tries his luck with a shot from the left channel just left of centre outside the penalty box. Almunia is untroubled as it flies over.

    Rooney clips a ball sqaure into Tevez's feet, but as he looked up 40 yards out there was no one in front of him to pass to. That's the problem for United with Tevez lying deep and Rooney playing left they have no centre forward, no target man

    Hargreaves show great calm under pressure to twist and turn and play his way out of danger in a deep position. Risky.

    Second yellow the game. Hargreaves for a late, cynical leg left in on Hleb

    Arsenal look for an opening as the spread the ball across the back

    More risk taking at the back for United as Brown drops his shoulder and uses his neat footwork to escape two attackers. Not the way to defend in my book. But what do I know, dear reader!

    Toure brings the ball out of defence, collects a one-two from Rosicky and unleashes a drive from 30 yards whilst amongst four defenders. The shot was over, but it shows the Arsenal are not afraid to try their luck.

    Hargreaves over hits a ball looking for Ronaldo on the right. Arsenal just edging the match so having had a bit more possession, a few more shots and generally looking more dangerous and assured

    United won a freekick just inside Arsenal territory. But instead of waiting for men to join him and to use the opportunity to get some time in the Arsenal half Rooney took thekick quickly and wasted it totally as no-one else was ready and he just kicked the ball back to Arsenal's defence. Whoops.

    The game is actually a bit more cagey than I thought. It seems the level of animosity of a few season ago has dimmed over time.

    Pitch watch: The Emirates playing surface looks superb, short and crisp grass, not cutting up; perfect for both sides' passing game

    Ferguson doesn't look very happy, prowling and scowling in the technical area

    Giggs whipped the ball in only for Gallas to head clear

    Freekick to Arsenal on the corner of the Man Utd box. Gallas has quick word with Fabregas before the kick.

    Well-worked move as Gallas arrived late into the box to head Fabregas wonderful freekick at the near post; Van der Sar saved with his feet and concedes a corner.

    From the corner United struggle to clear and Arsenal again look to have the edge in the ariel battle.

    It's a worry for United - they may have only conceded four goals this season, but three have been headers. A fact Arsenal seem to be aware of.

    Arsenal have been a little sloppy with thier passing, and it has let them down. Fabregas jsut trying a ridiculous pass through three men. When it works it is a mazing, when it doesn't you look dumb.

    Another yellow, third of the game; this time for Fabregas. He took out Anderson late, but Anderson's reaction was absurd. Fabregas took his booking but points out to the ref, quite rightly and in entertaining fashion, that Anderson made a meal of it.

    More good stuff from Hargreaves, putting a foot in and spoiling the Arsenal pass and move approach.

    Evra gets called offsise; at first glance he lokoed four light years off, in reality it was close, but as he attacked the defence stepped up and gave the impression of a huge gap.

    Ronaldo loses the ball after getting in the way of a neat three man passing move from the Gunners.

    United have been really rather disappointing going forward, offering very few shots on goal. In fairness in midfield they have done well to stymie Arsenal's flair.

    Quite rightly, in my humble opinion, Anderson's every touch is being cheered. He was desperate for an Arsenal man to get booked, waving pretend yellows to ref. When he was fouled he made a meal and the fans are unhappy with his attitude.

    Brown did well to bring the ball forward, holding off two or three men before passing to Ronaldo on the right. His ball in was met at the near post by Rooney who clipped a low shot on goal; it hit Gallas who deflected the ball in for 1-0!

    Overall it's been untidy stuff. Arsenal go in one goal down at halftime. It's not just, but that's life. Arsenal didn't take their chacnes and paid the price as United nicked one late.

    Credit to United, they have stifled Arsenal, put them off their game, stopped their passing style and got a goal into the bargain. Arsenal will now have to attack and in-so-doing perhaps leave gaps at the back.

    United were stretched for one of the first times in the game. Adebayor saw his shot blocked inside the si-yarf box by Van der Sar. The ball spilled to Sagna who pulled the ball back from the byline into the penalty are where Fabregas arrived late, but just in time to slot home the leveller

    Arsenal are full of beans now pushing the mental advantage to try and get a scoreline advantage

    A corner came to nothing, but Arsenal recycled the ball and it ended up with Flamini flashing a drive over the bar

    You get the sense that Arsenal now feel they can win the game; there is a palpable confidence about them since the goal

    And with the team's confidence the crowd come back to life after being shocked late in the first half by United's opener.

    Attention stat fans: Fabregas is in amongst the goal at present, we all know that but did you know that where once his goal ratio was 2 in 52 games, this season he is at 11 goals in 16 matches. Impressive.

    United seem to have made a formation change to a more conventional 4-4-2 with Rooney and Tevez up top instead of the slightly odd, but disruptive first half formation where they swampped midfield but had only one man rotating up front

    Anderson fouls Hleb on the very edge of the United box, just right of centre. Fabregas to hit it, or another Toure rocket?

    Oooh! A very cheeky freekick from Fabregas - by gad this boy is good! He shaped to curl his shot around the wall, but as it jumped the midfielder drove his effort underneath their jump and only a smart save from Van der Sar, right on his line stopped a goal. Inventive stuff from Cesc

    Poor stuff from United who waste a hard-won corner. They must do better with pressure moments if they are to kmock Arsenal out of their groove

    Arsenal starting to work their intricate pass and move stuff - so good to watch, so annoying to play against. Sagna, Fabregas and Hleb work the ball in trianlges around United. In fairness they got nowhere, but the keep ball skills clearly frustrating the lumbering United defence.

    Brown goes through Clichy. No foul for me, Clichy wasn't ready or committed to protect the ball and Brown won it - it was a no prisoners moment; not subtle but effective

    As Untied break Rooney wastes the final ball from Giggs; the Ginger bearded lad rose high to head powerfully into the ground, but off target. Not good enough, Master Wayne.

    Arsenal attack and Hleb takes the ball before firing wide; he snatched at the shot.

    Tevez, Rooney, Giggs and Ronadlo look threatening when they get the ball - it will only take a moment from them to get United back into this. The problem is Arsenal are in thier pomp. We're are finely balanced with the Gunners just shading it... for now

    Clichy judged to have fouled Ronaldo - clipped heels, but unintentional.

    Where the first half was a little scrappy this has been far more open and fluid. There are mistakes being made as the ball gets turned over by both sides, but it is compelliogn stuff

    Evra on a deep sortie gets to the byline before pulling the ball back into the danger area. But before Tevez could reach Gallas hooked clear.

    Speaking of Tevez, he has been a little quiet thus far; can he conjure some match-winning magic?

    Giggs tries to release Rooney but his pass is charged down and Arsenal work it to Rosicky who tries an audacious shot with the outside of his boot. Good effort, unlucky.

    United make a change: Off goes Wes Brown, on comes John O'Shea - that will have Arsenal quaking...

    Tevez shows some neat feet to buy some time and wait for support O'Shea eventually arrives, slips a ball to Anderson who tries a drive on goal from distance. Not good enough.

    United spending some quality time in the Arsenal half. Hargreaves eventually wastes the possesion by firing high, wide and handsome.

    Arsenal make a change, on comes Theo Walcott and we say good riddance, sorry, goodbye to Eboue. In didn't cheat and dive as much as usual, but I can't say I approve of his usual cynical game.

    Another change for United. Sorry make that two: An average day at the office for Tevez sees him off and in his stead comes Saha; and to a chorus of deserved boos goes Anderson to be replaced by Michael Carrick

    It's like for like really from United but Arsenal's change is very adventurous takinga fullback off for an atacker. Walcott is being deployed on the right wing - let's see what impact the young man has

    Ronaldo wins a corner off Clichy. Can Saha get a head on the ball when it comes in?

    Giggs delivers the ball and as Vidic goes to attack the ball Sagna got to it first; Vidic fell awkwardly, landing on his back. It looked painful.

     A very well worked goal by United exploits the defensive weakness of Walcott. He missed Evra's late run down the flank when Sagna looked to have stalled United's attack. As Saha stood still he backheeled to Evra who collected the ball, bomed on to the byline and pulled back for Ronaldo to slot home.

     The goal was not unlike Arsenal's equaliser - can they do it again with time runnign out?

     Untied fans now can be heard above the Arsenal mob!

     Adebayor mis-hits a shot from Eduardo's low cross, but as the ball comes to him infront of the goal it hits Evra and hits the top of the bar - a very lucky escape for him and United.

     West Ham are the only team to have beaten Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium - are United about to become the second?

     It will be United's 9th Premier League win in a row if the scoreline ends as it is at 2-1 and they will, of course, end Arsenal's unbeaten league run and go top of the table.

     Evra makes a meal of challenge from Walcott - the youngster went for the ball, the pressure took Evra off his feet and the defender tumbled and fell with Olympic ice dance artistic interpretation. Pathetic

     After a spell of incredible pinball inside the penalty box the referee notices the linesman's flag is up signalling a goal. Gallas' cushioned effort went two yards over the line but was headed back out, leading to even more frantic pinball

     Arsenal stay top of the league on goals scored with a game in hand. Their 100% home record has gone but they instead have a new club unbeaten record of 25 games.

     Ferguson and Wenger share a brief handshake. As the Scot walks off you can see he is livid about throwing a huge win away in the last seconds. But that's football. What a finish!
