Arsenal – Chelsea

1. No Michael Ballack (injured), Didier Drogba (rested) or Ashley Cole (terrified) for Chelsea in their match with Arsenal today. Andiry Shevcehnko also misses out so Salomon Kalou will be ploughing his lonely furrow up front supported by the Blues flying wingers Joe Cole and Shaun Wright-Phillips.

2. Chelsea have to win to prevent the title heading back up to Old Trafford. Arsenal will want to put on a show in front of their own fans and sign off their home campaign with a good result, even if that will spark wild celebrations in the red half of Manchester.

3. Hey we might even get another twenty man brawl. That would be ace!!

4. Chelsea get the game started. Should be a good 'un this as Chelsea will have to attack.

5. Wright-Phillips plays in Michael Essien who has burst in to the Arsenal box. He is tackled by Gilberto and the Chelsea man appears to have picked up a little knock.

   Chelsea's every touch of the ball is greeted with boos round the stadium.

   Still, the Chelsea fans can content themselves with jeering William Gallas. Aah rival fans booing - this is what makes football great.

   Toure bumps in to Kalou and forces him to knock the ball behind for a goal-kick as he sped away towards goal. Clever defending.

   Boulahrouz does well to fend off the attention of Baptista and make a decent clearance.

    Kalou is forced wide and is short of support so has a go himself. The shot is weak and half-hearted though and slides along the Emirates turf in to Lehmann's arms.

    Arsenal have a free-kick thirty yards from Chelsea's goal. Farbregas looks like he will have a go.

    The young Spaniard curls in an inviting cross which is just too high for the head of Willy Gallas.

    Clichy scrambles back to put in a tackle on Wright-Phillips when he seemed to have wriggled away from him down the right.

    Toure comes across to make a decent block on a Wayne Bridge effort after the left-back had got forward in to Arsenal's penalty area.

    Ferreira wins a corner for Chelsea and Lampard plays it in. Lehmann comes in to a cluster of players and retrieves the ball easily.

    Boulahrouz clatters in to Fabregaas and Arsenal have another free-kick. Mr Mourinho is not amused.

    Terry and Adebayor had a little tug at each other there. Naughty, naughty!

    The game is being almost exclusively played thruogh the heavily congested centre of the park. Chelsea should be making more use of their wingers to pick holes in the Arsenal defence.

    Kalou dinks a ball in to the path of Lampard who is bursting in to the penalty area but his pass is just over-hit.

    Toure gives away a cheap corner after a communication failure with Lehmann.

    Lampard's corner is far too long though and Arsenal deal with it easily.

    Fine defending by John Terry who has to rush back to dispossess Adebayor who was about to pull the trigger from the edge of the Chelsea penalty area.

    Denilson is penalised for a two-footed challenge on Essien.

    The camera has just panned to Thierry Henry watching the action rather forlornly from the touchline. He still looks cool though.

    Lampard curls in a free-kick which is over-hit again and Lehmann makes an easy catch.

    Terry makes a clearance eight yards from his line when Adebayor managed to get a foot to the ball. Arsenal have a corner. Which Cech comes to claim.

    Essien charges down Toure's clearance but the ball just won't run for the lurking Lampard.

    Mikel booked for a late challenge on Fabregas.

    Joe Cole skims a shot five yards wide of Lehmann's right hand post.

    Cole cuts a ball back across the Arsenal six yard line after a bit of a scramble. Lampard is close to getting a touch on it but is just too far away to tap it in.

    Kalou goes on a run but over-hits the ball and knocks it behind for an Arsenal throw.

    Eboue whips in a fierce cross from the right and Terry sticks out a leg to concede a corner.

    Arsenal play it short and probe the Chelsea backline for a way through. The ball eventually finds Adebayor who is through on goal after some intricate Gunners passing. He scuffs his shot though and doesn't trouble Cech when he probably should have scored.

    Adebayor is knocked off balance by Boulahrouz and is unable to get another shot in. Arsenal are having much the better of the game at the minute though.

    Chelsea are somewhat lacking in experience on their bench if theya re thinking of making any changes at half-time. They have Ben Sahar and Scott Sinclair to choose from as possible replacements.

    Oh dear. Boulahrouz is sent off for taking down Baptista and conceding a penalty. It all came from the Chelsea defender's mistake too.

    GOAL - Gilberto sends Cech the wrong way and Manchester United fans everywhere go wild (Arsenal fans too).

    Michael Essien has moved back in to defence to cover for the loss of Boulahrouz. Chelsea have a mountain to climb now.

    HALF-TIME: Chelsea are slowly relinquishing their grip on the Premiership title. They have failed to create much in the first-half and with the dismissal of Boulahrouz Arsenal will fancy their chances of extending their lead.

    We're off again. Just forty five minutes stand between United and the title(unless Chelsea win. Or draw).

    Arsenal's penalty today was their sixteenth of the season. That, at least, is one title they can easily claim to have won this year.

    Adebayor chests the ball down then fires a shot inches wide of Cech's post. Arsenal nearly doubled their lead there.

    Adebayor is then booked for a high tackle on Ferreira.

    A wonderful back heel from Fabregas finds Adebayor as he darts in to the Chelsea penalty area. The big striker's touch is heavy though. Shame because the build up play between Adebayor and Fabregas was classic Arsenal.

    Chelsea are scampering around the pitch trying to find a way through the Arsenal defence but to no avail. They could do with the trickery of Arjen Robben.

    Chelsea have a free-kick twenty five yards out from the Arsenal goal. This could be interesting.

    Lampard opts for belting it as hard as he can and it sails high and wide over the bar.

    Ferreira receives a stern talking to for jumping in with two feet on Denilson.

    Alexander Hleb is coming on for Arsenal.

    And he is replacing Denilson.

    Great tackle on Gallas by Joe Cole who gets back to help out his defence.

    Adebayor works himself in to a decent position on the edge of the Chelsea penalty area but once more scuffs his shot.

    Hleb has a go from distance but his shot is poor and easily blocked by Terry.

    Chelsea are playing like a side whose season has caught up on them. They have to defend an Arsenal free-kick forty yards from their goal.

    Fabregas sends an inviting ball in but Terry manages to get a head to it and concede the corner. When it comes over, Toure goes up with Mikel and wins another.

    Fabregas delivers again and this time Gallas hits a header over the bar from six yards when he should have scored. He knows it too.

    Arsenal stroke the ball around and Fabregas eventually plays a ball through to Adebayor. He can't reach it though and Cech rushes to take the goal-kick. Chelsea need a goal quickly.

    Well, they have a corner which Lampard takes.

    GOAL - And now they have a goal. Lampard plays the corner in but Gilberto heads it away. Wright-Phillips retrieves it then speeds past Hleb before delivering a fantastic curling cross from the right which Essien dives to head past Lehmann. Now they need another.

    Chelsea can certainly not be faulted for their resilience this season. They have another corner.

    Adebayor is on hand though to get it away. Arsenal break up the park with Hleb but his pass towards Adebayor is poor and Chelsea get it back.

    Mikel comes off to be replaced by Lassada Diarra.

    Gallas does well to recover and fend off the advancing Kalou.

    Joe Cole has put the ball in the net but he was caught just offside previously. Shame for Cole because it was a fantastic strike from the edge of the area.

    Eboue's high cross sails harmlessly out of play.

    Fabregas is penalised for going in late on Lampard and John Terry voices his displeasure to the young Spaniard in no uncertain terms.

    Diaby now makes way for Justin Hoyte.

    Chelsea are bringing on Scott Sinclair to replace Wright-Phillips.

    Hleb takes the ball off Kalou's foot as he got himself in a dangerous position. Chelsea have another corner. The ball spins towards Essien when it comes over and his snap shot goes just over the bar.

    Essien manages to get a foot to Clichy's cross and prod the ball back to Cech.

    Hleb brings down Ferreira forty yards from the Arsenal goal. All the Chelsea big men (including Cech) are up for this. It's John Terry who gets a good head to the free-kick but the ball goes just over the crossbar.

    Great dipping shot from Lampard is turned behind by Lehmann for another corner. When that comes across Lehmann does well to get a firm fist to the ball.

    Fine tackle on Ferreira by Clichy but it gives Chelsea a thrown deep in Arsenal's half.

    Kalou keeps up the pressure but Chelsea can;t find a way through. Arsenal, in the shape of Adebayor stride back up the park.

    Cech's knee prevents Hleb's fierce shot going in. Chelsea race up the other end and Kalou receives the ball just fifteen yards out with only Lehmann to beat. The German keeper makes a great save of his own though and Chelsea are thwarted once more.

    Eboue smacks a wonderful shot against Cech's bar from twelve yards out. Cech was totally stranded there. The four minutes of extra time are now up....

    FULL-TIME: A brave effort from the ten men of Chelsea but it was too much to ask. United are champions once more but Jose Mourinho can be proud of his men's efforts. The Portuguese manager has strode over to the Chelsea fans and is urging them to keep their chins up. They can certainly do that. Congratulations to Manchester United!
