4. Evening all, Chris Murphy back in the saddle for live coverage of Chelsea's short trip to Fulham. A vital game for the Blues.

5. Newcastle's win over Bolton has taken them fifth, level on points with Tottenham, who lost at home to Norwich. A win would take Chelsea level with those two.

6. John Terry is back for the derby despite his cracked ribs. Frank Lampard is also passed fit after a thigh injury. Fernando Torres is recalled but Juan Mata is rested and Ashley Cole misses out again with an ankle knock.

7. Danny Murphy and Kerim Frei are the only changes to the Fulham line-up that beat Bolton 3-0 at the weekend, while Pavel Pogrebnyak is out for the second successive match due to an ankle injury.

8. Just 1.7 miles separate these two clubs from each other, but they couldn't be more different. One a small, family club with a modest stadium and ambitions to match, the other a big player in world football, with a big stadium and an eye watering wage bill.

    Super move from Chelsea as Kalou gets down the left, crosses for Lampard - his flick back to Torres is neat but Hangeland blocks the shot.

    Another Chelsea corner. Pressure building on Fulham but they squeak this one clear.

    Frei brings the ball clear and is chopped down cynically by Meireles, who was so late he is extremely fortunate not to go in the book.

    Bright start from the away side though, minus any real penetration.

    Mikel chops down Dempsey, who had turned him superbly. He could have been in on the centre backs then Dempsey.

    A real waste of a corner from Fulham, they take it short and Dembele loses it immediately.

    Diarra's error allows Chelsea to counter, Torres finds Meireles, he tees up Mikel who blasts wildly over from 30 yards. Not his strongest suit, shooting.

    Good defending from Ivanovic, who tracks Frei and cuts out Riise attempted pass.

    Nicely worked by Fulham as Duff cuts in and finds Diarra but he falls over before Terry clears.

    The crowd are on Clattenberg's back to book Meireles after he fouls Diarra. He's on thin ice.

    Great ball in from Riise after he was found by Hangeland, Duff meets it on the volley with his left foot but he lacks any conviction and dribbles it into Cech's arms.

    Duff again disappoints in a promising position, throwing himelf over Lampard's leg trying to get a free kick but losing possession. Chelsea break and Kalou shoots from range right at Schwarzer.

    Meireles is the latest to shoot and nearly clears the stand.

    Best move of the game from Chelsea, Dembele gets down the left and finds Dempsey but he stabs an effort towards goal in a panic and Cech saves comfortably.

    What a run from Frei! He tricks three Chelsea players, cuts inside then out and forces Cech into a good low save with a powerful drive. Corner.

    Going back to the Meireles booking, it is the sort of incident that could easily be rectified by technology. We could all see within seconds Riise had dived, an official watching that could buzz the ref and have it wiped out immediately. Now Meireles is walking a tightrope.

    A great spell for Fulham as dangerous balls come into the box from both flanks.

    Dempsey fails to collect the ball after a slip from Terry - he could have been in on Cahill then.

    Duff's had a very poor half an hour, Dempsey feeds him down the right but his cross is awful.

     <b>FULL TIME </b> Clattenberg blows for full time in an entertaining game in which Fulham thoroughly merited a point. They finally got it through Clint Dempsey's 16th Premier League goal of the season. Frank Lampard gave Chelsea the lead after a baffling penalty award from the referee.

     So, that point means Chelsea stay in sixth, two points off both Newcastle and Tottenham. Not a great showing, solid enough, but they can now turn their attention to the FA Cup semi-final with Tottenham.
