After the 1-1 draw at the City Ground, we have all the action as United and Forest battle it out for the right to play Wolves for a place in the Premiership. Kicking off at 19.45 UK time

Another long thorw from Forest's David Johnson sees the ball in the Sheffield Untied penalty area, but it is cleared

Forest's wing back Mathieu Louis-Jean tries to get a cross in, but is fouled - free kick to Forest on the right of the penalty area

Andrew Reid's resulting kick is over-hit and flies out for Sheffield United goal kick

Michael Tonge, working well in the middle of the park, gets the ball deep into the Forest half but Walker clears

Ricardo Scimeca plays an insightful ball into Marlon Harewood's feet, but he is hurried and hassled and the neat attack breaks down after a Forest handball

Tonge fires in a great cross from the right wing and a touch from Ward ensures that Dean Windass cannot get the vital touch. Forest goal kick, but danger signs from Sheffield United

Tonge again seeing plenty of the ball feeds it to John Curtis, who plays it to Peter Ndlovu as the Blades press their early superiority

A long throw from Curtis nearly drops to Asaba, but it is clear and Darren Huckerby almost breaks clear for Forest

Curtis whips in a good first time cross and Walker heads the ball out for Sheffield United corner

Robert Page latches on the corner kick at the back post, but his header is weak and Ward gathers

Johnson leaps high to try and reach a ball pumped into the Blades box, but he misses and its a goal kick

From the clearance Ndlovu gets the ball and passes to Michael Brown, but the free-scoring midfielder is dispossessed

Windass tries to find Asaba with a cushioned header on the edge of the box, but Asaa is oblivious to the move and Forest have the ball

Reid wastes possession for Forest in the Blades half by passing the ball straight into touch

Brown, Tonge and Asaba play some neat one touch stuff which ultimately leads to another United corner

Tonge sends in the ball looking for Page, in the resulting scramble Walker clatters in Windass but the ref sees nothing wrong with the robust challenge

Mathieu Louis-Jean fells Ndlovu as he tries some fancy footwork and Louis-Jean gets a word from the ref

Ndlovu and Tonge link up and look dangerous together

Mark Rankine launches a long throw and from a Page kock on Windass has the best chance of the match, but his forceful header is straight at Ward in the Forest net

Ndlovu takes a heavy knock from Riccardo Scimeca

Huckerby, running at the Blades penalty area, sees his attempted shot blocked by right-back Curtis

Huckerby caught Rankine with an flailing arm at the begining of his run, but the ref again sees nothing wrong

A Forest throw from Johnson finds Thompson, but his weak shot is gathered comfortably by Kenny

Robert Kozluk tries a long throw of his own for the Blades, but the ref sees an infringement of the ball and Forest have a freekick in their own area

Plenty of full-blooded tackles flying in midfield as the two side battle for the ball, but no bookings yet

Scimeca send in a free kick from the right wing, but it is out for another one of Johnson's long throws

Ndlovu, who has been operating on both wings tonight, passes to Brown who tries a drive from distance and his shot is only fractionally wide

Gareth Williams gets the ball wide to Reid as Forest press and eventually win a corner

Scimeca sends in the corner and despite poor marking the ball eludes the Forest forwards

Johnson scores for Forest!!!

Johnson thumps the ball past Kenny after collecting a deft touch from Huckerby who robbed Curtis on the halfway line - first blood to Forest

Despite seeing much of the ball the Blades find themsleves behind - can they get a quick reply

Windass wins a corner for the home side after his shot was deflected out by Walker

Tonge hammers in the kick but Forest shepperd the danger away

Curtis has a throw and finds Asaba, but Huckerby gets the ball and races clear

The Forest counter-attack breaks down. Huckeby opting not to use Harewood and run himself into a dead-end

Asaba lets fly with a great half-volley after a great touch from Windass

Harewood sees a great shot just roll inches past Kenny's righthand post after he recieved a ball from deep

The Blades quickly counter and have a freekick just on the edge of the Forest area

Brown fancies his chances to add to his impressive 21 goal tally but his kick is woeful and flies into the stands

Asaba again lets down his team down by failing to get into the right postion and Forest clear after great passing play opened a chance for the striker, but he was yards away from recieving the killer ball

Brown sends in a freekick on the right hand side of the Forest penalty area but Phil Jagielka at the back post can't reach the ball and its a goal kick

A Curtis throw finds Asaba who gets it to Windass who in turn finds a lovely touch to feed the ball to Ndlovu, he races towards the Forest goal but his shot is straight at Ward

Kozluk and Tonge combine well in the middle of the field for the Blades but Forest cut out a loose pass and look to build

Harewood disposseded on the halfway line with Huckerby bounding deep into enemy territory

Ward gathers the ball after a deep, hopefull cross is pumped into his penalty area

Ndlovu crosses into the box but Thompson clears only for the ball to get knocked back in, this time Windass fires wide

Tonge tackled by Louis-Jean as he tried to get to the byline and whip in a cross

Two minutes of added time is signalled by the fourth official

A defensive header by Page almost lets in United but Walker clears

Harewood felled Brown and the Blades have a freekick

The ball is sent into the back post but Walker clears for a corner with a back-header

Tonge's corner is cleared and Huckerby races clear and is deep in the Sheffield United half looking dangerous only for the ref to blow for halftime - Forest and Huckerby not amused

Halftime and Forest are just 45 minutes away from the Play-off final. Although Sheffield United have played the better football Forest have made the most of what chances they've had, with Johnson taking his goal very well indeed

Neil Warnock's men must remain focussed, they have created more clear cut chances and have looked dangerous, but they must also be wary of Forest's threatening counter attacks

Referee Walton gets things back underway at Bramall Lane, can the home side get back into it? They need two goals to go through, if we?re level at 90 minutes its extra time and maybe penalties.

Substitution for the Blades, Dean Windass has been replaced by Steve Kabba.

Curtis plays a neat ball to Ndlovu who crosses, Kozluk shapes to shoot but Williams tackles and the attack breaks down

As Forest build at the other end a clearance by Page falls to Williams who tries his luck, but the shot is well over

Kabba has a shot of his own at the other end after a long clearance from Kenny, but it is straight at Ward

Curtis puts in a long throw to Asaba who passes to Brown, his deflected cross loops to the back post and out of play

Reid puts in a clever ball over the top of the Blades defence, Kenny races of his line quickly to deny Harewood who his knocked down by the keeper and needs attention

Back underway after treatment to Harewood and United are pressing for the equaliser

Ndlovu's cross is too long for Asaba and Jim Brennan gathers the loose ball and gallops into the open space ahead of him

Freekick to the Blades midway inside the Forest half. Kabba recieves it but he can't get the cross in at the byline and Forest have a goal kick

Quickly though United are back in possession and building again

Jagielka knocks the ball in, it drops to Kabba but his shot is very tame and its with the keeper

Johnson is rightly penalised for a foul on Kozluk the two scrap for the ball on the edge of the United area

Walker concedes a corner as Blades threaten throught Asaba

The ball reaches Ndlovu at the back post who heads the ball back across goal, Kabba leaps and gets a touch but it is wide

Reid scores for Forest!!!

Huckerby sent the ball to Louis-Jean on the right wing as Forest broke from deep, his cross found Reid running in at the back post and his full volley found its way past Kenny in the Blades goal

Freekick for the Blades on the very edge of the penalty area following a foul which earnt Walker a yellow card

Brown scores for the Blades!!!

Walker tried to block Brown's freekick but he only managed to defelct the ball past his own keeper and now Sheffield United are right back in the game and have the wind in their sails

Forest make a change, Harewood has not recovered from his heavy knock from Kenny and is replaced Jack Lester

Lester goes on a run and opts to shoot rather than pass, but his momentum forced him wide and he failed to wrap his foot around the ball

Brennan concedes a corner after heading the ball just over his own crossbar

Tonge's first corner is turned out and he gets another chance

A third corner in quick success after Thompson turned the ball out

Great pressure from the Blades with Tonge particularly trying to pull the strings and forge an opening

Lester manages to win the ball and races clear only to be brought down from behind by Tonge who gets yellow card for the foul

Forest just cannot get a grip on the ball and the Blades force their way forward again

Williams slams into Tonge and now Sheffield United have a freekick

Kabba scores with a breathtaking strike!!

The ball is cleared by Kenny and it falls to Kabba in the Forest penalty area, Walker stood like a statue when he should have cleared and Kabba fired in with an unstoppable shot from 10 yards out

Forest are shellshocked. 3-3 on aggregate, but no away goals, so one of these two sides needs to find a winner and at the moment you wouldn't back Forest

Kabba fires the ball to Ndlovu who in turn lays it into the Forest area looking for Asaba, Walker and Ward get their wires crossed and both watch nervously as it goes out

Walker looking nervous now and its is not helping the Forest defence

Tonge hits a poor cross far too deep and Forest finally have some respite

Warnock bellowing instructions from the dugout - what a comeback from Sheffiled United tonight, but can they finish the job?

Curtis can't collect a mis-hit clearance by Kenny and Forest have a throw

Reid tries to get the ball to Johnson but the pass is poor and it is symptomatic of Forest's failure to make the most of what possession they've had this half

Huckerby has been largely innocuous this half having dropped deep into midfield and as a result Forest have lost most of their guile

Ndlovu's cushioned header falls to Tonge who latches on the ball and races towards the goal, but instead of passing to Kabba Tonge tries a shot and it is blocked - wasted opportunity

Freekick to Forest which Reid takes quickly trying to capitalise on Kenny being out of position, but he over-hits his effort to the dispair of the Forest faithful

The Blades press forward again and win a corner

Johnson turns out Tonge's first kick and its another corner

Ward punches well to clear Tonge's second corner

Riccardo Scimeca plays an awesome pass to split the Blades defence and Johnson runs clear only for Jagielka to regain his position and get his foot in the way of Johnson's shot

Time running out for both sides to end this tie in normal time

Curtis puts in a useful ball towards to Asaba, but it is cleared by Walker

Page fouls Johnson and Forest have a freekick 35 yards out. Scimeca has a go but there is little venom in his shot and Kenny gathers easily

Tonge passes to Asaba who heads towards goal with the ball at his feet only for Walker to tackle perfectly

Kabba gets the ball from a long Kenny clearance, he waits to pass to Ndlovu rather than playing it to Asaba at the back post, but Ndlovu gets tackled by Scimeca and the move breaks down - Ndlovu unhappy and wanted a penalty

The ball is hammered in and Kenny comes flailing off his line and misses it completely, nervous defending at the last

Rankine, Brown and Curtis exchange passes and try to find a way past the Forest defence

Reid tries to break after a mis-placed Curtis throw finds him, but Brown cuts in with a good tackle

Lester goes on a great looking run but after getting past two defenders his shot is straight at Kenny

The ref blows for the end of regulation time - and the second-leg of this First Division play-off semi final will go into extra time!

Two halves of 15 minutes coming up to try and decide the outcome of this match - will we see penalties?

We're back underway and the Blades press forward only for Louis-Jean to clear

Huckerby wins a freekick for Forest and Scimeca sends it towards the back post of the Sheffield United goal

The danger is cleared but Johnson and Forest have a throw in which is launched into the area

Both sets of fans in fine voice urging their teams on passionately

Jagielka makes a mistake and Johnson gets the ball, but again Jagielka recovers and makes another important tackle

Ndlovu takes a wild swing at the ball at the back post following a deep cross from Tonge. Brennan and Reid both should have cleared but luckily for them Ndlovu's shot was well off target

Forest build at the other end Lester, who has been a threat ever since he joined the game, fires another shot towards Kenny in the Blades goal but it is wide

Louis-Jean is down and getting treatment on the pitch, possibly suffering from cramp

Brown has the ball and heads towards the byline only for Scimeca to tackle well and end the threat

More route one stuff from Sheffield United: A long clearance from Kenny towards Asaba who tries to knock the ball on towards Kabba, but it fails to find him

Lester tries to put in a cross but it is too long and flies out

Brown talks himself into the referee's book, yellow card

Johnson manages to get hold of the ball after it pinballed around in midfield - he knocks towards Huckerby but it is too long for him

Walker blocks a Kabba pass at the other end of the pitch as the Blades build again, eventually Ward getting hold of the ball and clearing

Almost the end of the first period of extra time and there is nothing between the two sides

One minute of added on time before the teams switch ends

Asaba gets the ball on the right wing and wins a corner with just seconds remaining

Tonge sends the ball into the box towards Page but he misses it.

The ref signals the end of the first half

Paul Peschisolido and Wayne Allison come on for Sheffield United's Ndlovu and Asaba as we get back underway again

Allison is the target for a United free kick but it is cleared

Johnson tries another long throw, but to no avail as the United keeper gathers and clears long

Page fails to clear an easy ball and Huckerby gathers and feeds into Lester who fires a great shot

Huckerby gets a booking for expressing himself too vividly to the ref

Ward tries to challenge enormous striker Allison for a cross and comes of the worse - freekick

Another fruitless long throw from Johnson and Kenny gathers easily and launches a clearance long down the field

Peschisolido scores for United!!

Peschisolido latched onto the Kenny clearance and he twisted and turned past two Forest defenders to find space for a shot which he hit low and to the right of Ward - what a comeback

The Blades were 2-nil down and now lead 3-2 on the night, 4-3 on aggregate with just over six minute to play

Substitution for Forest who bring off Williams for Jon Olav Hjelde

Kabba manages to skin Brennan and threatens to put in a cross but he is tackled

Forest get it clear and Lester has it and is threratening, but the move is broken down and Brown and Tonge exchange passes on the halfway line

Des Walker own-goal!!!

Kabba picks up the ball on the right and sends in a cross looking for Allison but Walker gets his head to it and puts it past his own keeper

Forest pull one back - own goal by page at the other end!!!

Huckerby fired in a ball low towards the goal and Page tracking back got his foot to it under pressure from the Forest striker and bags himself an O.G

Incredible stuff as Louis-Jean rises at the back post and heads fiercely but Kenny saves on the line!!

Three minutes of injury time at this exciting game, with own goals from both captains in the second period of extra time

Kabba tries to waste some time in the corner but Forest win it back and clear. It reaches Louis-Jean who tries a shot from 30 yards out, but it is well wide

Kenny takes his time with the goal kick, he puts it into touch and Forest have it back

Johnson puts in another long-range throw looking for Huckerby but the ref blow and it is all over

A great game full of incident and goals at either end. 4-3 on the night and the Sheffield United comeback is complete, they will meet Wolves on May 26 for a place in the Premier League.

A terrible night for Des Walker the Forest skipper. He gave away the free kick which lead to one of the all-important Blades goals and scored an own-goal in extra time. But a fantastic night of play-off football.
