Join us on Saturday as Manchester United and a certain Wayne Rooney travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton in the FA Cup. All the action live from 17.30 UK time.
There is a cracking atmsosphere here at Goodison Park, what with the return of Wayne Rooney, who is starting the match up front. United are playing a virtual full-strength side here, while Everton are without the suspended Beattie and Cahill.
Everton get the game under way, kicking from right to left.
Already, every time Rooney picks up possession, there is a chorus of boos heard around the ground.
Everton have not beaten United in ten years.
Gary Neville does brilliantly at the back post to get his head to a dangerous swinging cross otherwise Kilbane would have opened the scoring.
Back come United, with Rooney crossing to the back post only for Scholes to be denied by the covering Martyn - a half-chance.
Everton are very much on top in these opening exchanges.
Ferdinand is forced to make a last-ditch covering tackle to prevent Osman getting in a shot in the area.
All Everton's attacks are coming down their right flank at present.
Everton win a right-wing corner after another excellent recovery tackle by Ferdinand.
And from the set piece, Bent rises highest at the back post, but his downward header is hacked clear from his own line by Fortune.
McFadden, on the right wing, is causing Heinze and Co all kinds of problems in these opening exchanges.
The ground is rocking at the moment - who said the FA Cup is dead?
Remember, United have AC Milan to come on Wednesday, but this competition is realistically their best chance of silverware this season.
And of course, United are the holders as well.
Ronaldo goes on a mazy run, before unleashing a thunderous drive that takes a deflection and fizzes just over the bar.
Scholes takes the right-wing corner and Ronaldo somehow misses with a free header at the near post - a good chance for the Portuguese.
There are over 40,000 inside Goodison this evening and boy can you hear them.
Fortune picks up possession deep inside the Everton half and goes on a run that takes the winger into the Everton area, before he eventually gets crowded out.
And, Everton break up field, before a late tackle on Bent results in a free kick midway inside the United half for Everton.
But, Heinze does very well to get up on the penalty spot and head the set piece powerfully away.
These opening 20 minutes have been end to end.
But, the pitch is really making it a problem for people like Ronaldo to run with the ball at their feet.
GOAL! United take the lead after a great run and cross by Ronaldo, who has swapped wings with Fortune to the right and he leaves Naysmith for dead before delivering an inch-perfect centre on to the head of Fortune at the back post and Martyn was helpless.
You cannot say that United don't deserve that, as they have been looking ominiosly dangerous in the last five minutes.
Everton try and respond almost immediately after a mad scramble in United's area, before Gary Neville tidies up for them and clears his lines.
Ronaldo has now swapped wings with Fortune again.
The Portugal international winger looks really up for this game and he is now giving Hibbert a torrid time of things.
Interestingly, the last six times these two clubs have met in the FA Cup, the final score has been 1-0.
And, of course, two of those matches were in the actual final, in 1995 and 1985, with each side winning once.
That goal has really taken the steam out of Everton's sails and they are a little flat at the moment.
The home team really could have done with the injured Duncan Ferguson out on the field this evening.
Consequently, Bent looks too isolated up front by himself, with McFadden and Kilbane not giving the front man any decent service at present.
Arteta has fouled Keane from behind in a dangeros position, centrally, about 30 yards out.
Scholes takes a massive run-up, only for his shot to strike the wall and rebound to safety.
Everton win a free kick after Keane trips Bent on the halfway line.
But, not for the first time in the first period, the delivery is poor and goes out for a goal kick after Bent got a flick-on.
There is no doubt that David Moyes's side are badly missing the suspended Beattie and Cahill, especially the latter's presence.
United's midfield have totally taken over control of this game now, especially Keane and Scholes.
Late tackle by McFadden on Heinze and that was not a good tackle at all by the Scotland international and he's lucky not to get booked.
Sven-Goran Erikkson is here watching proceedings.
Great run by Ronaldo and he is only stopped by a crude late tackle by Carsley, resulting in a very dangerous free kick for the visitors, just right of centre, 25 yards out.
That man Rooney takes it, but it is headed away for a corner by Bent.
Scholes delivers the right-wing corner, but he overhits it and Everton can clear their lines.
The fourth official has indicated that there will be one minute of time to be added on at the end of this first period.
Great chance for Bent to equalise after excellent work by Arteta in midfield, who plays the front man clean through on goal, only for Carrol to stand his ground and block with his feet.
And referee Styles blows his whistle to signal the end of what has been a fascinating first period, with United winning 1-0 through Fortune's 23rd-minute goal.
United get this second period under way, kicking from right to left.
Osman delivers a fantastic early centre into the heart of the United defeance, only for the ever-dependable Ferdinand to head clear.
Just looking at Everton's bench, they really do not have many options.
Gary Neville has been forced to concede an early left-wing corner, taken by McFadden and met by Yobo, but his header is off target.
Everton are really missing the presence of Thomas Gravesen you feel.
Keane and Scholes have been absolutely superb in midfield this evening.
And Ronaldo, interestingly, has begun this second period playing right wing, up against Naysmith.
And, the Portuguese almost makes it 2-0 after collecting the ball on the edge of the area and unleashing a low effort that takes a deflection, resulting in a great save by Martyn.
Scholes takes the right-wing, but agaisn overhits the delivery towards Heinze and Everton clear their lines.
Martyn keeps Everton in the Cup after Rooney is sent clean though on goal after Fortune's through-ball, but the veteran keeper blocks with his left leg.
Sir Alex Ferguson has won this famous opld competition a record five times with United.
Free kick to United after yet another foul by Arteta on Ronaldo, resulting in a free kick to United, 25 yards out, to the right of the area.
While it remains 1-0 though, anything can happen of course.
Goal! Scholes's shot takes a deflection that wrong-foots Martyn, who can only parry the ball straight to the feet of Ronaldo and the Portugese easily taps the ball home for 2-0.
Keane is the first person to be booked this evening after a late tackle on Osman. Free kick to Everton.
Carsley delivers the ball deep to the back post, but the imperious Ferdinand is there to head the ball clear.
Now it is United's chance to be awarded a free kick on the right-hand touchline, which results in a half-chance for Rooney, but he cannot get enough power on his near-post shot.
That goal appears to have killed this match as a contest.
United are in total control at the moment and cruising through to the next round.
McFadden has taken a knock and he looks like he may have to come off.
The Scotland international is currently receiving treatment off the field and it appears to be his hamstring that is the problem.
Weir replaces the hamstrung McFadden, with Yobo moving from centre back to centre midfield.
Scholes breaks into the Everton area with a penetrating run, and wins his side a left-wing corner.
From the corner, the ball breaks to Ronaldo on the left-hand edge of the area and his stinging drive forces Martyn into a smart stop down by his near post.
Now it is United's turn to defend after Everton force a right-wing corner.
But, not for the first time this evening, Ferdinand is there to make a majestic headed clearance for his side.
Caroll has been struck by a coin from the crowd and is currently lying on the turf clutching his head.
The game has been stopped while Caroll receives treatment.
The game has been restarted, but there are bound to be some serious consequnces resulting from that incident.
Kilbane delivers a dangerous centre into the area and for once Ferdinand misses his headed clearance, but the waiting Osman did not react and the ball sails harmlessly out of play.
15 minutes to go and United have this match in the bag.
Free kick to Everton, midway in the United half and a chance to exert some pressure on United's back four.
But yet again the delivery is just not good enough and United have no problems in clearing their lines.
United are now playing keep ball, frustrating Everton and their supporters.
Fortune puts in a thumping tackle on Bent on the halfway line, taking the ball and the man, leaving Bent injured.
Everton make their second change of the game, taking off Arteta and bringing on Pistone.
Bent appears to have recovered from that tackle and is running freely again.
United now make their first change of the game, removing skipper Keane and replacing him with Miller.
Caroll has not even had to make a save in this second half.
This looks like being Everton's second successive home defeat without scoring a goal.
Rooney forces Stubbs into conceding a needless right-wing corner.
Scholes delivers it, but Everton are able to clear their lines.
Yobo has brought Miller down in his tracks, right on the right-hand edge of the penalty area and in a dangerous position.
But, Scholes attempts to score direct from the free kick and the ball sails high and wide of Martyn's upright.
The fourth official has indiucated that there will be two minutes of time to be added on at the end of this second period.
Weir is booked for a crude late tackle in Rooney, Everton's first booking of the game.
Rooney is put clean through on goal and after outpacing Stubbs he is again denied by Martyn's outstretched hand, another great save.
And that is the final whistle, with United comfortably winning 2-0 and a place in the last-16 of the FA Cup.
