4. The big team news is the absence, ostensibly through injury, of Nicklas Bendtner after his hissy fit in midweek. In his absence Arsenal are almost at full strength, though Johan Djourou stands in for the suspended Laurent Koscielny.

    Cahill is bobbing around in the area. Arteta over the ball.

    Superb defending from Distin as Nasri has Arsenal's first chance. He had acres of space on the right but Distin backed off and then blocked his eventual shot.

    Now Everton go close, Coleman streaks down the right and crosses for Cahill but he puts his header from eight yards wide of the post. An unusually poor header from the Aussie.

    Cahill and Wilshere come together over a high ball but Arsenal win the free kick. A bit harsh.

    Coleman cuts inside and dribbles a shot towards Howard.

    Heitinga boots Song to the floor then kicks him twice for good measure.

    Arshavin busts a shot wide of the post from just outside the box.

    Webb is being as lenient with Song as he was with Heitinga. The Arsenal man gets another chance to be good.
