    Baines goes on a superb run, nutmegs a defending in the box and lays it off for Pienaar - who fires miles over. That was a chance.

    Cross from Downing finds Carroll eight yards out, but there's no power on the header and Howard claims.

    Anichebe and Carragher go chasing after a ball off the pitch ... Anichebe can't stop himself flying over the advertising board and disappearing from view. He's fine.

    Now Suarez gets through in the box but his shot isn't great and gives Howard a comfortable save with his right hand and Everton clear.

    Carroll and Suarez linked up very well there, the big man flicking on for Suarez for the shot.

    Downing tries to outpace Hibbert down the left, the Everton defender gets a good tackle in.

    Everton break and have four on three with Pienaar, he must pick out a team-mate with Anichebe free on the left. He tries to find Stracqualurasi in the centre - and passes straight to Skrtel.

    It's been a good, free-flowing game. No bad challenges and the referee has had nothing of note to do.
