3. Tottenham team news: Lloris, Walker, Vertonghen, Dawson, Naughton, Sandro, Dembele, Lennon, Bale, Adebayor, Defoe

4. So will Harry Redknapp be the scourge of his former club Tottenham? It so often happens that managers haunt their old clubs and it is certainly a major incentive for 'Arry.

5.
Harry Redknapp: Ready for a reunion with Spurs

6. Emmanuel Adebayor plays his last match today before heading off to the African Nations Cup in South Africa. After much to-ing and fro-ing, Togo called him up this week. Saying that, though, there have been some reports that he won't go - so who knows?!

7. A QPR win would put them within two points of safety and really pile the pressure on their relegation rivals.

8. Shaun Derry gets his first home start of the season, Park Ji-Sung plays his first Premier League game since October - he's been out injured.

9. Our Tottenham blogger Dan Fitch has been reflecting (not all too favourably) on Emmanuel Adebayor's form this season.

10. Right, nearly there. Kick-off looms.

11. And we're off...

12. 1'

Positive start from QPR with Onuoha and Mackie exchanging and the latter trying to bustle his way through three Spurs players. He was unsuccessful.

13. 2'

Free-kick for QPR on the right, but the delivery from Taarabt doesn't cause any problems though.

14. 3'

Struggling to get to grips with Harry Redknapp going all Spain/Barcelona and playing with a false nine. However, he does seem to have got the best out of Taarabt in recent weeks.

15. 4'

Sandro managed to get a shot away but it was never troubling Julio Cesar.

16. 5'

Defoe trying to give Spurs a foothold. Dropping deep, he comes from the right and brings it across the pitch. He then exchanges with Naughton before unleashing one from 25 yards...

17. 5'

It smashes the post. Great save from Cesar.

18. 5'

And another. He denies Adebayor from close range on the rebound after tipping Defoe's effort on to the crossbar.

19. 6'

Superb play from Defoe and a superb double save from Cesar. Great football all round.

20. 7'

Lennon getting roundly booed every time he touches the ball having gone down to easily in the eyes of the QPR fans a couple of minutes ago.

21. 8'

The game has exploded into life now. Tottenham have come to the party and they are dominating in attack now.

22. 9'

Bale will probably fancy his chances against Julio Cesar, having bagged a hat-trick against him when he was in goal for Inter Milan in the Champions League 2010.

23. 9'

Really positive run from Mbia but a cross-cum-shot as the end product is quite simply rubbish.

24. 10'

Taarabt feeds in Wright-Phillips, he dances inside Walker and then his shot takes a deflection off Dawson and out for a corner.

25. 11'

Taarabt starting to pull the strings now. He produces a couple of fancy stepovers and Lennon makes a good interception to force a corner.

26. 12'

The ball comes out from the corner to Wright-Phillips but it's spooned well wide. No repeat of his goal against Chelsea last week.

27. 13'

Looking at the replay, that block from Dawson on Wright-Phillips a couple of minutes ago was crucial - SWP would have scored had he not put himself in the way.

28. 14'

Wright-Phillips' goal against Chelsea was his first in the Premier League since May 2010.

29. 15'

Taarabt taken out by Dawson and the Spurs captain's a lucky boy to avoid the referee's book. It was late and clumsy.

30. 24'

Sandro really struggling, looks like he's tweaked his knee. And he's on his way off now with Parker being readied.

31. 24'

     Parker on for Sandro

32. 24'

Sorry about the rather notable nine-minute gap by the way folks - some teething technical problems. Fear not, there was no major action apart from the Sandro injury.

33. 26'

Stats: Andre Villas-Boas is the only Spurs manager who boasts a better win percentage than Harry Redknapp in the Premier League. AVB's is 57%, while Redknapp's is 49%.

34. 27'

Walker runs on to Adebayor's lay-off but drags a low shot ride from just outside the area.

35. 28'

AVB and Harry Redknapp exchange pleasantries before the game.

36. 29'

Spurs have been cranking up the possession and pressure in the past five minutes. Mbia and Derry are working very hard in the QPR midfield.

37. 30'

Mbia swings a long diagonal over to Mackie, who collects but can't force a cross.

38. 31'

Ryan Nelsen standing firm at the moment, the man who has this week been appointed the manager of Toronto FC. Our QPR blogger Sean Smith has been having his say on the Kiwi's impending departure.

39. 33'

Derry gives the ball away to Bale, who immediately races away from him and towards the left-edge of the penalty box. Bale's cross overcooked though and no Spurs players are anywhere near it.

40. 34'

Dawson's just had a crack from distance. Yes, Dawson. I'll let you guess whether that one ended up in the goal or not.

41. 35'

Stats: Should QPR lose today it would be their 100th defeat in the Premier League.

42. 36'

QPR free-kick just inside the Tottenham half.

43. 37'

Taken short to Taarabt, who is dropping deep to get into some useful positions, but he just doesn't have the support.

44. 38'

Silky skills from Mackie to take it past Dembele Naughton, and the former trips him up to concede the free-kick.

45. 39'

     Dembele booked for his troubles.

46. 40'

Taarabt swings it in and it's another poor delivery, which doesn't get past the first man. The box was loaded and it was wasteful from the Moroccan.

47. 42'

Mackie dwells on the ball on the edge of his own box and is lucky that Nelsen tackles Lennon after the winger pickpocketed him.

48. 43'

Mbia with a big old shoulder charge on Parker, who looks in some discomfort. He's holding his shoulder and I'm not surprised - Mbia is no small bloke after all.

49. 44'

Stats: Tottenham are the only team to have scored in every Premier League away game this season.

50. 45'

A fleet-footed run from Wright-Phillips reminiscent of his halcyon days at Manchester City, but he fails to produce a finish after emerging into space just inside the penalty area.

51. 45'

He should really have tested Lloris at the very least.

52. 45'

Three minutes of added time in this half because of Sandro's injury.

53. 45'

Parker brings Tottenham forward and Lennon now looking to open up some space.

54. 45'

Dispossessed by Onuoha. But then Taarabt loses the ball himself moments later.

55. 45'

    Half-time whistle blown.

56. 45'

HALF-TIME: QPR 0-0 Tottenham. A decent first half but not enough clear cut chances for QPR. Satisfactory for the Rs though, who can thank Julio Cesar for still being in the game after his stunning double save from Defoe and Adebayor.

57. 45'

As always, I'm keen to hear your thoughts on the match so give me a shout on Twitter - @marklomasESPN is where you will find me.

58. 45'

This Tweet from Daily Mirror journalist and ESPN FC podcast regular John Cross (@johncrossmirror) sums up Taarabt's first-half nicely: "Taarabt is a brilliant player. But have never known such an incredibly selfish player. Unbelievable. Try team work. 0-0 at half time."

59. 45'

Tweet from @J2rendle: Time to take out Adebayor and who? Dempsey what type of impact would that make

60. 45'

Think Dempsey would be a good idea for Spurs - Adebayor has been quiet today. One eye on the Nations Cup perhaps. Or not, as the case may be...

61. 45'

QPR have been surprisingly quiet so far in January, though they have of course been linked with all and sundry. We've got a live transfer blog all day every day through this month's window. Check it out here.

62. 45'

The players are back out and we're almost ready for the second period.

63. 45'

We're off for the second half...

64. 46'

Immediately a free-kick for Spurs in a dangerous position, Nelsen blocks off Defoe illegally.

65. 47'

Bale lining this one up, about 20 yards out, right of centre.

66. 47'

It swings in the air and Cesar palms it down and quickly recovers before a black-and-grey shirt can pounce.

67. 48'

Parker strikes one sweetly from all of 30 yards. Not a bad effort but was never dipping enough and it's just over the ball.

68. 49'

Stats: Tottenham's previous record away to QPR in the Premier League era reads W1 D1 L3.

69. 50'

Parker feeds in Bale but that wily chap Nelsen gently eases him off the ball.

70. 51'

Fabio shoves Lennon and Spurs fans want a penalty but it's a free-kick on the left side of the area. Walker looks to fancy this one.

71. 52'

There wasn't much contact on Lennon it has to be said.

72. 52'

Walker curls one and it whistles just over the crossbar with Julio Cesar left just standing and watching. A few inches lower and it would have been a wonderful goal.

73. 53'

Defoe with space in the box and Julio Cesar gets down well to deny him again with his left leg.

74. 54'

It's quite simply all Spurs at the moment and it seems only a matter of time before they score.

75. 55'

Stats: QPR haven't kept a clean sheet at Loftus Road since their 0-0 draw with Chelsea in September, nine games ago.

76. 57'

it's just wave after wave of Tottenham attack - Nelsen, Mbia, Derry and Hill all working their socks off.

77. 58'

Lennon and Walker probing down the right and Spurs now have a corner.

78. 59'

Walker delivers and Hill heads it out for another corner.

79. 60'

This time Dawson gets his head on it but it's over the bar.

80. 61'

QPR have failed to get anywhere near the Tottenham box so far in this half. It's got 1-0 win to the Rs written all over it then.

81. 62'

Taarabt finally gets hold of the ball in an advanced position but sends a long diagonal in to that towering behemoth that is Wright-Phillips. Easy pickings for Walker.

82. 63'

    Mbia walking a little gingerly.

83. 64'

Free-kick for QPR just inside the Tottenham half by the right touchline.

84. 65'

Played in to Taarabt, who did really well to pick the ball off Naughton. He advances into the penalty area but takes too many touches, wasting the best attacking opportunity of the half for the Rs.

85. 66'

Stats: QPR are chasing their first back to back wins in the Premier League since 1995, when they beat Bolton and Aston Villa.

86. 67'

Defoe threads it to Adebayor but he's not comfortable on his left foot and forces himself out of a threatening position.

87. 68'

     Dempsey on for Adebayor

88. 69'

That may be the last time we see Adebayor in a Spurs shirt for a month. Though realistically, even if he does play it's unlikely Togo will get to the final so it's more like two-and-a-half weeks - if we're being precise.

89. 70'

QPR moving forward on the left wing but again the move breaks down because of a misplaced pass from Taarabt. He's not enjoying the best of days against his old club.

90. 71'

Lennon with a positive run into the area but he's sandwiched out between Onuoha and Mbia. The poor boy didn't stand a chance.

91. 72'

If QPR can somehow hold on it would be a great result - Spurs have after all won nine of their last 11 games.

92. 74'

Best opening for QPR, Taarabt feeds in Fabio who crosses the ball low into the corridor of uncertainty. No QPR players in the box to get on to what was an excellent delivery though.

93. 75'

Taarabt goes through Naughton with a very late challenge. The referee waves play on but he's got to book him as it was a really poor challenge,

94. 76'

Taarabt very fortunate to escape a yellow card there. probably due to Naughton not making a lot of the tackle.

95. 77'

Bale with a tasty drag back on the edge of the box nearly creates an opening but Hill intercepts.

96. 78'

Taarabt with a superb long ball to Wright-Phillips, who is clean through...

97. 78'

But Lloris was out before SWP could get onto the ball and he bangs it clear. Excellent goalkeeping - he had to be on his toes.

98. 79'

Fair play to Lloris, he's had very little to do but was sharp when he was needed.

99. 80'

     Sigurdsson on for Lennon

100. 80'

Sigurdsson comes on for his 100th appearance in English football.

101. 81'

You can sense a little bit of frustration building in Spurs but they are still patiently probing for an opening.

102. 82'

Free-kick on the left wing for Tottenham, but QPR clear their lines.

103. 83'

Another Spurs free-kick, central and 25 yards out. Bale has the ball in hand.

104. 84'

Poor effort from Bale. Well wide. Disappointing.

105. 85'

Wright-Phillips with a delightful backheel over his own head, which he chases down. He exchanges passes with Taarabbt but then fluffs his lines with the goal at his mercy, kicking the ground.

106. 87'

End to end at the moment. Couldn't pick a winner despite Spurs earlier dominance.

107. 87'

Julio Cesar has made three top quality saves to deny Tottenham.

108. 88'

No real chances to speak of, both sides just exchanging possession. The word attrition springs to mind.

109. 89'

Mackie and Taarabt with an interchange on the right wing and it's QPR pushing now.

110. 90'

Wright-Phillips' cross is then headed clear.

111. 90'

Just two minutes of stoppage time, and it's Spurs on the front foot.

112. 90'

Defoe's powerful shot well blocked by a lunging Hill.

113. 90'

Nelsen pumps a free-kick long and into the corner.

114. 90'

     It's all over...

115. 90'

FULL-TIME: QPR 0-0 Tottenham. A battling draw for the hosts and they will be delighted with a point. It means QPR are at least temporarily off the bottom of the table. Spurs miss the opportunity to extend the gap over Chelsea.
