Ryan Giggs has not fully recovered from the knee injury he picked up with Wales and Diego Forlan is not risked after returning from South America, so Ferguson has turned to Bellion and Kleberson. Giggs and Forlan are on the bench

3. Blackburn have to do without suspended duo Andy Cole and Lucas Neill, plus influential midfielder David Thompson, who is set to miss the remainder of the campaign with a knee problem. Cole's absence at least allowed another former Red Devil, Dwight Yorke, an opportunity to impress

    A mix-up between Gary Neville and Howard almost lets Rovers in, but Silvestre mops up

    Van Nistelrooy is fouled just outside the Rovers area, it's taken quicky to Bellion but his cross is poor

    Blackburn break fast, Reid plays a deep cross towards Emerton and it's a corner as Howard fails to keep in the defensive interception

    The corner comes in from the left, Ferguson tries a shot from the edge of the D only for a United player to get in with a fine block - that was heading on target

    Jansen twists and turns on the edge of the, fails to deliver and in the end a deflection of his shin gives the goal-kick to United

    Emerton does well, bursts forward and can only run it out of play. Gary Neville did well to block a route for the cross, however
