Manchester City – Leicester City

Manchester City travel to the Walkers Stadium to take on former manager Sven Goran Eriksson's Leicester in the pick of tonight's FA Cup third round replays.

Man City are unable to name new-signing Edin Dzeko in their squad for tonight's game. David Silva is back in the starting line up after recovering from injury.

Leicester City are missing former Man City striker Darius Vassell, he's replaced by Steve Howard. Yakubu is unable to play because, like Dzeko, he was signed after the third round had started.

Leicester proved more than a match for Roberto Mancini's team in the first clash, can Man City control the huge presence of Sol Bamba from set pieces?

Nearly time to get this one under way, can Leicester provide one of the shocks of the round at the City of Manchester Stadium?

KICK OFF Man City get us started.

A spirited opening from Leicester, who launch an early set piece into the Man City box. Joe Hart comes and gathers, no repeat of his first-match blunder...yet.

So close for Leicester! Paul Gallagher's deep cross goes all the way to Lloyd Dyer, who puts the ball back in the box. This time Howard heads down for Andy, whose volley deflects of Kompany and just over for a corner...

It's that man again Sol Bamba who gets on the end of the corner! Luckily for the home team, his header is straight at Joe Hart.

At the other end, Adam Johnson is released a bearing down on goal. His low left-footed shot is well saved by Chris Weale, but he should have scored.

In one of the night's other replays, Wolves' Steven Fletcher has given them the lead at home to Doncaster.

A very lively start to the match, both teams could have scored. Let's hope it continues!

Man City enjoy possession for the first time in the match, but they lose it and Leicester look to break...

The visitors work the ball well to Bruno Berner, his cross is blocked at the near post. He tries again, this time Steven Howard's header deflects off Joleon Lescott and very nearly past a scrambling Joe Hart!

Leicester are creating chances with an alarming ease. Man City's nervy form from the first match looks to have continued.

The home team have yet to warm to the task yet, if they're not careful they could be stunned tonight.

Yaya Toure attempts his first forray into the box. His low cross-come-shot rolls across the six-yard box only to evade everyone.

Man City are starting to settle and looking to find Adam Johnson at every available opportunity. Bruno Berner could be in for a long night at left back.

GOAL Carlos Tevez hammers Man City into the lead!!! Tevez received the ball from a throw in, turned and ran at the defence. He got a lucky bounce, but nothing about his finish was lucky. A thunderbolt on the half volley from the corner of the box, unstoppable.

That goal is harsh on Leicester, but that is the price you pay for missing chances.

Kyle Naughton attempts to break forward and create something only to find himself in a cul-de-sac. Can Leicester rally themselves?

PENALTY TO LEICESTER!!! Lloyd Dyer attempts to take on Viera, but over runs the ball. He is clipped by Viera, penalty given! A huge decision!

GOAL Paul Gallagher thumps the penalty down the middle! We're all square!

That penalty is a big, big decision from Mark Halsey. There was contact, but Dyer had over ran the ball. By the letter of the law, it's a penalty.

Leicester have been buoyed by their equiliser and they have earned a corner...

The corner is half cleared and ends up at the feet of Richie Wellens. He hits a terrible half-volley yards over the crossbar.

Lloyd Dyer is in again! A pass through releases him and he accelerates at Kolorov. He dips onto his left foot to shoot, his low effort is deflected wide for another corner.

City clear the corner and look to break through Milner. He rampages into the Leicester half and tries to feed Tevez, who is outmuscled by Richie Wellens.

Yaya Toure is receiving treatment for a whack on his eye, he should be fine though.

Apart from the goal, Manchester City have barely threatened. Leicester have gone about their business admirably so far.

Yaya Toure with half a chance for City, Kolarov's low cross arrives at the feet of the Ivorian who fires a low effort straight at Chris Weale.

Paul Gallagher gets back well to halt Pablo Zabaleta, twice coming to the aid of Bruno Berner to get Leicester out of trouble near their own corner flag.

Gallagher is now down and struggling. Sportingly, Milner knocks the ball out of play.

Franck Moussa on for Paul Gallagher

A huge blow for Leicester, losing their goalscorer. There didn't seem to be a lot wrong with him, but he's clearly done himself some damage.

The home team are looking to try and get David Silva involved, but the Spainiard is struggling to impose himself on the game. He may still be carrying his recent injury.

Silva looks to release Adam Johnson, but he has gone too soon and the flag is raised.

A curious point of note. Roberto Mancini is wearing two scarves this evening. His usual white and sky blue number and a racey red and black specimen. Two scarves?

Leicester continue to impress, Moussa winning a corner of Kompany...

Joe Hart does excellently to claim the cross under pressure from Steve Howard. I think Mark Halsey would've blown had he dropped the ball.

GOAL Man City retake the lead through Vieira! Bruno Berner is exposed and Zabaleta finds space. He cuts the ball back for David Silva, whose side-footed effort is expertly saved by Chris Weale. Unfortunately for Weale, it falls to Vieira who taps it home!

GOAL Adam Johnson makes it 3-1!!!Silva involved again, sliding a lovely pass for Johnson. The winger timed his run perfectly, and through one-on-one he makes no mistake, finding the back of the net. Man City have stunned Leicester.

Can Leicester recover from this quick-fire blow?

Man City look rampant at the moment, Kolarov feeding Milner. He tries to find Tevez, who overhits his first touch and Weale gathers.

The Man City fans have found their voice, sort of. The first signs of vocal satisfaction from the home crowd.

Leicester are still looking to attack, Lloyd Dyer again launching a mazy dribble befort firing over. Man City have looked unconvincing at the back once again.

Lovely footwork from Franck Moussa after Dyer had shown incredible speed to disposses Lescott. The Belgian then hit's a half volley horribly wide. This scoreline is very harsh on Leicester.

ONE MINUTE ADDED TIME

Howard fouled after more good work from Moussa, one last chance in the first half for Leicester...

HALF TIME Leicester fail to take advantage of their set piece and trail 3-1 at the break. They have been punished for defensive lapses.

Glimpses of quality from Man City have been enough to see off the Foxes so far. Leicester deserve to be level, but they have made some minor errors at the back which have been punished in a big way.

Leicester's defence would seem to be a weakness, according to Opta they have only kept two clean sheets in their last 16 games.

For Roberto Mancini, his defence will be a big worry for him too. They looked weak in the first match and against Wolves on Saturday. Once again, they have been unconvincing for title-challenging team.

Nearly time for the restart, can Sven produce one of his famous motivational team talks?!

Matt Oakley on for Richie Wellens

SECOND HALF Leicester with the restart.

So Leicester have made another change, Sven clear keen to adjustments for the second half.

A magical touch by David Silva, nutmegging Kyle Naughton with a sublime back heel. It doesn't quite come off, however and he ends up fouling Naughton seconds later.

Aleksandar Kolarov comes forward and lets fly from a tight angle. It's always going to be difficult to score from there and his shot is high and wide.

Still 1-0 Wolves in their replay against Doncaster, with Stoke and Cardiff goalless.

A stronger start to the second half from Man City compared to their nervy opening to the match. They are clearly benefitting from the confidence generated by goals.

A foul by Patrick Vieira on half way, decent chance for Leicester to get the ball forward...

Man City clear and launch a break. Yaya Toure feeds Johnson, whose cross finds James Milner. He lays the ball off for Carlos Tevez, who smashes a swirling effort narrowly over the bar.

Tevez clattering Sol Bamba as he looks to attack out of defence, foul.

Yuki Abe looks to latch onto a low cross inside the Man City area, James Milner lunges in and Abe goes down claiming a penalty. Mark Halsey considers it, but correctly dismisses Leicester's appeals.

PENALTY TO MAN CITY! Leicester are completely caught out again! Carlos Tevez races away, Jack Hobbs tries to get back. Tevez nicks the ball inside the centre back, and the defender promptly brings him down.

Astonishingly, not even a yellow card for Hobbs. He should have gone, he was the last man.

Chris Weale with the save! Tevez hammers his penalty down the middle, Weale sticks out a leg and sends the shot over the bar!

Leicester complete the job and clear the corner, what a relief for the visitors! Jack Hobbs must be breathing a huge sigh of relief. Not only has he got away with a certain red card, Leicester haven't even conceded from the penalty!

Wolves look like they are into the fourth round, they now lead 2-0 against Doncaster thanks to Mujangi Bai.

Adam Johnson should have wrapped it up, will Man City regret these missed opportunities? Once again Leicester are wide open at the back as a lofted pass arrives with Johnson. He chests it down before firing a mishit volley towards goal which Weale palms away.

Leicester have been on the back foot for a long time now, can they launch an attack of their own?

Chance for Leicester, Kompany tripping Dyer. A dangerous free kick...

Gareth Barry on for David Silva

Joe Hart does well to punch clear after Howard again challenges him.

A good workout for David Silva, an hour under his belt on his return from injury.

Vincent Kompany again committing a foul, this time on Yuki Abe right by the touchline...

City clear the freekick, but Abe hit's a deflected shot narrowly wide. They will have another chance from this corner...

Again City look a lot more secure from the set piece. Play is stopped after Kolarov and Abe collide in mid-air. Ouch.

Both players are up after taking whacks to the head. Thankfully they seem fine.

Martyn Waghorn on for Steve Howard

Kevin Doyle has surely wrapped the game up for Wolves, 3-0 they now lead Doncaster.

The atmosphere is a little flat now. Leicester are trying to create openings, Abe especially is looking to get involved.

Gareth Barry fouls Moussa and it's free kick within shooting range for Leicester...

Both managers looking calm on the touchline. Surely one is a lot happier than the other at the moment? Although Leicester have given a decent account of themselves tonight.

A fourth Wolves goal, Matt Jarvis makes it 4-0.

Another penalty shout from Lloyd Dyer, again on Vieira. Dyer goes to ground very easily, which Vieira doesn't like, so the pair exchange handbags.

Patrick Vieira and Lloyd Dyer both go into the book for their respective tantrums.

Man City are heading into the fourth round and a clash with Notts County at the moment, unless Leicester can mount a huge comeback?

Jo on for Yaya Toure

Roberto Mancini can now start to think about resting players ahead of their weekend meeting with Aston Villa, Yaya Toure has done his shift for the night.

Man City are cruising now. Leicester played well in the first half and attempted to force the issue in the second, but ultimately Man City's class has shown.

Man City are cruising now. Leicester played well in the first half and attempted to force the issue in the second, but ultimately Man City's class has shown.

GOAL Lloyd Dyer puts Leicester back in the game! Yuki Abe picks up possession in his own half and tries to play a pass out, only to see it hit referee Mark Halsey and bounce back to him. He then slips in Dyer, who calmly finishes past Joe Hart!

Lloyd Dyer certainly looks like he might have been offside when he was played through. That combined with the ricochet and the penalty miss, is fortune favouring Leicester tonight?

Five minutes to go and Leicester look revitalised. Some of Man City's stars have gone off the pitch, can the visitors capitalise?

Adam Johnson gives away possession cheaply in Leicester territory. Another chance for Leicester to attack.

A Leicester corner, can they drag themselves level...

GOAL Man City have countered and sealed the win! The home team cleared the corner and broke through Tevez. Both Milner and Johnson maintained possession and just when it looked like the chance had gone, Kolarov popped up to drill a shot home from 25 yards, a super strike and a worthy match winner.

THREE MINUTES ADDED TIME

Leicester City can take a lot of heart from their two games against Man City. They are only six points off the play-offs in the Championship, and with their recent up-turn in form, they could launch a promotion bid.

Wolves are rampant, it's 5-0 through David Jones.

FULL TIME Man City will go on to face Notts County in the fourth round, but Leicester have been more than a match for them over these two games. It took glimpses of Premier League clash to finish off the Foxes, and they showed real potential.

In the night's other replays, Wolves have thrashed Doncaster 5-0 while Stoke and Cardiff are locked at 0-0 and heading to extra time.
