9. Balotelli finds himself on the bench once more, but the maverick Italian seems to have calmed down slightly, and few can make an impact like him off the bench.

10. Speaking of impact off the bench, Walcott and The Ox, are about as dangerous as they come.

11. The players are in the tunnel, with City sporting some lovely blue jackets.

12. Mike Dean is the man in charge today.

13. Dzeko gets his chance in the league after his goal in the Bernabeu on Tuesday.

14. There's going to be a minute's silence in memory of the two police officers shot and killed in Manchester this week.

15. 1'

    Arsenal start us off.

16. 2'

Arsenal almost get into the City box, but are repelled by Clichy in the end.

17. 3'

Gervinho looks to be starting as a central striker, not a role he has played too often at Arsenal.

18. 4'

Aguero ruins some good build-up, as he gives the ball away to Mertesacker on the edge of the Arsenal area.

19. 6'

A low ball from Ramsey almost finds Gervinho, but Hart reacts quickly to catch it.

20. 7'

Gibbs gets a cross in, but only finds Kompany. The young left-back could be a serious threat down that wing today.

21. 8'

Sinclair has his first run at Jenkinson, but the former Swansea man fails to get round him, and instead sends the ball out for a goal kick.

22. 9'

Cazorla has an effort from range, but he doesn't connect cleanly and it dribbles into Hart's hands.

23. 10'

Yay Toure decides to boost City's early shot count, but only succeeds in hitting an Arsenal defender from 20 yards.

24. 12'

Kompany gets too eager, and takes down Arteta on the halfway line. A bit pointless really.

25. 13'

Gibbs found himself in space in the area, but his pass across the box tamely found Clichy who clears.

26. 13'

Dzeko decides chesting the ball down isn't for him and almost catches it as he controls it.

27. 14'

Aguero looks lively on his return as he slams a shot at goal from the corner of the area, and Mannone does well to get the ball away.

28. 16'

Gervinho is played through on goal, but the forward takes a terrible touch when clear allowing Hart to come and collect.

29. 18'

Gibbs gets clear once more, but his cross once again finds no one.

34. 22'

Diaby goes for a long ranger, but his shot is blocked by the might of Lescott on the edge of the area.

35. 23'

Mertesacker under pressure from Dzeko is forced to clear the ball into touch. That should be a good battle today.

36. 24'

Lescott allows Jenkinson to get round him, but the full-back's pull back is slammed over by POdolski.

37. 25'

Clichy wins City a corner when his cross is blocked by Jenkinson.

38. 25'

Zabaleta ends the Arsenal break by blocking off Cazorla. Clever.

39. 27'

This time Gibbs finds Ramsey in the area, but his weak header goes straight at Hart.

40. 28'

Clichy with a superb interception stops Gervinho from getting the ball two yards from goal after a delightful Cazorla pass.

41. 29'

Zabaleta might struggle up against Podolski and Gibbs with no support in from of him.

42. 30'

Podolski almost finds Diaby with a through ball, but his pass is overhit allowing Kompany to come across and clear.

43. 31'

Zabaleta slides in on Gibbs to give Arsenal a corner. The Argentine has a long day ahead of him.

44. 32'

Aguero has his shot blocked, when he had a man over to his right. Not sure that was the right decision.

45. 33'

Kompany takes out Ramsey, as the big Belgian implies he is still out of form.

46. 34'

Cazorla takes the free-kick, but his low shot doesn't trouble Hart.

47. 34'

Sinclair plays in a lovely cross, but there's no one to meet it at the back post.

48. 36'

A sustained period of pressure from City is needlessly ended when Toure mishits a pass out of play.

49. 37'

Ramsey continues to impress for Arsenal as he drives through the midfield to play in Gervinho who drags his shot wide.

50. 38'

Silva tries to be too clever by playing the ball through defenders, but unsurpisingly this tactic fails, and Arsenal clear.

51. 39'

Sinclair shows his limitations as he tries to take on Gibbs, but the left-back stands up to him, and puts in a good tackle.

52. 40'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Lescott heads home unchallenged from a Silva corner.

54. 41'

Dzeko almost doubles the City lead after his first-time shot from 25 yards is tipped over by Mannone.

55. 42'

Cazorla tries to level things up after some solid build-up from Arsenal, but the Spaniard slices the ball wide.

57. 44'

Aguero is currently playing left midfield for City as they attempt to maintain the lead until half-time.

58. 45'

    One minute added on.

59. 45'

That's the end of the first-half as Dean blows.

60. Arsenal will be disappointed that they've failed to take a single change, and their inability to stop Lescott for the goal.

61. Hopefully this goal will give Lescott the confidence to shave his beard.

62. City can count themselves lucky. They've not controlled the game at any point, apart from a few minutes of pressure prior to their goal.

63. Arsenal undone by their ineffective attempt to use zonal marking properly. Steve Bould will not be pleased.

64. Lescott will be boosted after missing out in Madrid to Nastasic. Mancini doesn't have much faith in the defender to perform in the big games.

65. Neither team need to make any changes in terms of personnel at the moment, but Mancini will be looking for more from the likes of Sinclair and Silva.

66. Whilst Wenger will be encouraging Gibbs to keep get down the left against Zabaleta, who he has the beating of.

67. It's raining in Manchester, whatever next?

68. 46'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Jack Rodwell is coming on for Sinclair for City to add more strength to the midfield.

69. 46'

City get us going once more.

70. 46'

Rodwell will be looking to limit the runs of Ramsey and the like.

71. 46'

Dzeko earns a soft free-kick on the right-win after falling over Arteta's leg.

Silva's cross finds Aguero at the far post, but the Argentine smashes the ball over.

76. 50'

    <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/images/2012/0923/joleonlescottceleb20120923_275x155.jpg ">

77. 51'

Another City corner, as Arsenal struggle to deal with crosses.

78. 52'

Arsenal are enjoying a good period of possession, but need to pick up the tempo slightly here.

79. 53'

Silva plays Aguero through on goal, who is taken down by a defender, but still gets his shot away. The referee is having none of it, and awards a corner.

80. 55'

Jenkinson fires in a cross, but Hart takes the ball with ease on his goal-line.

81. 56'

Another dangerous corner from City, as Silva's cross meets the head of Garcia, but it's straight at Mannone.

Podolski catches Zabaleta on the ankle, and is lucky to get away without a bokking.

83. 59'

Gibbs gets round the back once more, but Arsenal have no one in the box, allowing Kompany to easily clear the cross.

84. 60'

Clichy really needs to go back to the shaved head.

85. 61'

Aguero and Dzeko is not a long-term partnership for City. Their communication is poor at best.

86. 62'

Jenkinson portrays himself as a wall, which Silva gladly runs into to earn City a free-kick.

87. 63'

Silva then breezes by a few Arsenal men, but his cross is repelled.

88. 64'

Aguero almost gets on the end of a Clichy pass, but the ball bounces off his chest and out for a goal kick.

89. 66'

Gervinho gets into a good position once more, but his pull back is dealt with by a plethora of City defenders.

90. 67'

And then he snatches at one, and sends it high and wide. No composure.

91. 67'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Tevez is introduced as Dzeko departs after a decent effort.

92. 69'

93. 70'

Gervinho goes for a shot from the edge of the area, but he instead falls over. Might be time for a change Arsene.

94. 71'

And now Gervinho has injured Ramsey.

95. 72'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Double change for Arsenal Giroud and Walcott replace Diaby and Podolski.

96. 72'

Somehow Gervinho has been allowed to stay on, which is quite sweet.

97. 73'

Giroud will be looking to show what he can do after a slow start to his Arsenal career.

98. 74'

The Frenchman gets a shot away, and earns him team a corner after the ball comes off Garcia.

99. 75'

Giroud then almost gets on the end of a Mertesacker flick-on, but Hart is out to the ball quickly.

100. 77'

Arsenal are dominating once more, but can't find that crucial final ball still.

101. 77'

Silva still looks a long way off his majestic best. Mancini needs to handle him carefully.

102. 78'

Koscielny runs the length of the pitch to disposses Tevez. Now that's commitment.

103. 80'

     This game needs some Balotelli.

104. 80'

City break, but Yaya holds onto the ball too long before giving Aguero a difficult chance, which Mannone pushes wide.

105. 82'

Hart just tips a screamer from Cazorla wide of his right-hand post.

106. 82'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Koscielny slams the ball home from the subsequent corner, as City fail to clear.

City earn a corner as Mertesacker diverts a Tevez cross behind.

109. 84'

City miss two chances, as Kompany's spectacular overhead kick is palmed out, and Aguero puts the rebound wide.

110. 84'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Aguero is now replaced by Balotelli.

Silva almost gets it through to Tevez but Mertesacker thwarts him once more.

112. 88'

Yaya gets himself a free-kick after being taken down by three Arsenal men.

113. 88'

Koscielny tackles Balotelli, and then calmly breezes past two with lovely skill.

114. 89'

Arsenal are calmly passing the ball around as they look happy with the point.

115. 90'

But then Gervinho gets some space on the edge of the area, but can only hit the ball a mile over.

116. 90'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> He is then replaced by Coquelin.

117. 90'

     Three minutes added on.

118. 90'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Garcia gets a booking after pulling Jenkinson down.

119. 90'

It was quite pitiful in the end. Garcia is learning quickly about this league.

120. 90'

Now Yaya Toure has taken a foul throw. A low moment for the club.

121. 90'

And that's all she wrote as each team take a point. It was a fair result in a tight game. Both teams had the chances to win it, but lacked their cutting edge.

122. 90'

Mancini is struggling to decide what City's identity is, as they change formation at half-time and look unable to find their passing best from the start of last season.

123. 90'

Anyway, that's all from here as we soak in the fact two of the best four teams in England only manage to score from set-pieces.
