2. Hello and welcome to the live commentary for Sunday's big game between Liverpool and Arsenal at Anfield.

3. The line-ups are in and Fernando Torres starts for Liverpool while Alberto Aquilani starts on the bench. Walcott starts for Arsenal while Eduardo is among the subs.

4. Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Aurelio, Mascherano, Lucas, Kuyt, Gerrard, Benayoun, Torres. Subs: Cavalieri, Aquilani, Insua, Ngog, Degen, Skrtel, Dossena.

6. Liverpool have four defenders on their bench, while Arsenal have just Silvestre. Arsenal lack an outright striker, but a front three of Walcott, Arshavin and Nasri suggests they are looking for a win.

   Torres looks to make an early impact as he races forwards, but his pass for Gerrard doesn't come off and Arsenal counter.

    It's a high-tempo start and both sides look fired up.

    Walcott wins a corner for Arsenal as he latches onto Sagna's ball down the flank.

    Lucas heads away Fabregas' corner.

    Nasri is sloppy in possession and Gerrard looks to break forwards, but he's blocked off and Liverpool have to settle for a throw-in.

    Carragher barges down Walcott just outside the Liverpool area, but the referee feels it was shoulder to shoulder.

    Traore wins a battle with Kuyt and Arsenal get a goal kick.

    Benayoun picks up on a slack pass from Song and looks to slip the ball in for Torres, but he's crowded out.

    Vermaelen gets an important challenge in as Gerrard threatens to break through.

    Johnson breaks down the right flank and finds Torres, but he can't control the ball as it comes back to him.

    Gallas nearly presents Torres with a chance as he heads a ball towards Traore, but it eludes the Liverpool striker.

    Denilson wins a free-kick just inside the Liverpool half despite seemingly barging Mascherano over.

    Torres misses a glorious chance! Gerrard breaks free and finds Torres in the area, but he fails to get enough power on the shot and Almunia gathers.

    Gerrard wants a penalty as Gallas brings him down in the area. It was a clumsy challenge, but the ball was a long way away from him.

    Vermaelen heads well over the bar as Fabregas swings the ball into the area from a free-kick out wide.

    Arshavin looks to play Walcott in on the right of the area, but his pass is a little sloppy and allows Agger to get it away.

    Arsenal look to attack again and Gallas goes up to join the strikers, but another poor pass sees the move break down.

    Song brings down Torres for a deep free-kick.

    Aurelio swings it in but it's headed away. It comes back to the Brazilian, but his second cross is even poorer and goes straight out for a goal kick.

    Sagna curls a ball in around the back, but Carragher is alert and puts it out for a corner.

    Sagna puts a cross in following the corner and Arshavin heads on goal, but it's wide and he's given offside.

    Lucas looks to play a ball over the top for Torres, but it comes straight through to Almunia.

    Gerrard finds Kuyt who finds Johnson but, while the defender makes space in the area, his square pass fails to find a team-mate and another good chance is lost.

    Kuyt wins a corner for Liverpool. Arsenal are struggling at the moment.

    Gerrard finds Agger with the corner but the ball comes back out. While Almunia looks weak when dealing with a high ball into the area, Arsenal escape.

    Denilson is given a booking for a foul on Mascherano.

    Gerrard fizzes the free-kick into the area and Almunia can only punch clear. Liverpool win a corner but Almunia gathers.

    Torres looks to burst forwards but loses possession as he has no support. Mascherano is down injured.

    Mascherano limps from the field. Gallas is also off the field with a hip problem and could have to come off.

    Mascherano gingerly comes back onto the field.

    Gerrard has a shot on the edge of the area but it's blocked! Another great chance for Liverpool.

    Denilson wins a free-kick out wide as he's hauled down by Aurelio.

    Arsenal are starting to look more positive now, but Liverpool are putting a lot of pressure on the ball. Meanwhile, Torres is given offside as he looks to break free from a ball over the top.

    Gerrard puts in a cross from out on the right, but Almunia saves, before giving away possession immediately with a poor pass.

    Torres goes down right on the edge of the area under a challenge from Gallas but, again, Howard Webb isn't interested.

    Arsenal break free in style but Sagna dallies and his cross is blocked. It comes to Denilson, but his shot is easily gathered by Reina.

    Nasri makes some space for a shot on goal but steers it wide. Still, much better from Arsenal.

    Walcott puts in a cross that fails to find its target before Song overhits a pass. Liverpool goal kick.

    Liverpool win a deep free-kick as Denilson fouls Gerrard.

    GOAL FOR LIVERPOOL! Kuyt puts the ball into the net after Almunia failed to deal with Aurelio's free-kick.

    Wenger is showing frustration on the touchline, possibly suspecting that the goal was offside. Lucas had gone in for a header before the ball came out for Kuyt to place into the net.

    Yellow card for Aurelio as he brings down Walcott. Wenger again looks unhappy.

    Arsenal built an attack and, when Nasri's cross deflected off Carragher, Johnson could not get out of the way as he ran back towards his own goal.

     Liverpool win a free-kick inside their own half as Arshavin is penalised. Reina knocks it long and Liverpool have a throw-in.

     The ball heads towards the area but Arsenal break away. Liverpool are running out of time and look to be lacking energy.

     Degen looks to make it into the area but runs into trouble and lays it back for Carragher. It eventually comes in to Torres, but his header is off target.

     Arshavin wins a corner but is limping heavily and wants to come off - seemingly after hurting his foot as his shot is blocked.

     Song bursts forwards as Arsenal continue to attack. It ends up as an Arsenal throw-in as we enter the final minute.

     It's all over! Arsenal claim a 2-1 win.

     Liverpool had taken a deserved half-time lead through Dirk Kuyt, but Arsenal were much improved in the second half and, thanks to a slice of luck as Johnson scored an own goal, they were able to set up a superb win through Arshavin's excellent strike.
