James Milner returns to the starting line-up on his 18th birthday. Milner is one of three changes made to the side following last Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Wolves, with David Batty returning from suspension and Frazer Richardson handed his first start for the club in place of Gary Kelly who is out with a foot injury

Arsene Wenger makes six changes to his side, the most significant being at left back with Ashley Cole returning from a three-match suspension in favour of Gael Clichy, while Martin Keown, Lauren, Edu, Gilberto Silva and Kanu are also recalled

Leeds get the game underway

Leeds start quickly, and Smith's early snap shot flies well over the bar

The Leeds fans give a cheer of delight as Keown's attempted pass runs out of play

Milner turns brilliantly on the left to beat Lauren and crosses into the box - Cole is there to head to safety

Smith does well up against Henry as the Frenchman tried to make progress up the left flank

More joy for the home fans as Vieira fails to pick out a yellow shirt. It's scrappy early doors

Campbell pushes Viduka and Leeds win the free-kick on the right wing

Harte lines up the set-piece and floats one into the box only for Campbell to head it clear as far as Batty. He chips it back into the box but the offside flag is up

Campbell plays the ball back to Lehmann, he's got time. But his first touch is heavy and Viduka closes him down

GOAL!!!!!

Lehmann was rushed into the clearance, Viduka stuck out a leg and the ball flew into the back of the net off the Australian's boot. A horrendous error by Lehmann - Leeds take the lead!

It's all Leeds now. Their tails are up and look hungry for a second

Cole feeds in Edu on the left, his first time cross finds Henry free in the box but he can't keep his effort down

Richardson does well and finds Bakke on the right - who wins a corner off Cole

Harte delivers from the right, Lehmann flaps but escapes with another corner

This time it's Milner from the left, and Lehmann comes to claim the ball successfully

The strong challenges are flying in, this has the makings of a classic cup tie

Ljungberg is fouled on the right flank, providing Arsenal with a great chance to create something. Henry takes, Duberry heads clear and Ljungberg drags his effort from the edge of the box well wide

Lauren tries to get into the box but hesitates too long and loses the ball

Keown makes a real mess of his attempt to clear ahead of Milner and the young Leeds midfielder takes control. He gets into the box but sees his effort saved low down to his right by Lehamnn

Henry blocks Richardson's run up the flank - free-kick to the home side, who are still edging this tie

Ljungberg brings it forward as Leeds defend in numbers - snuffing out the threat of Edu in the box

Bakke is dragged down by Keown, another free-kick for the home team. Harte plays it deep to Smith, whose nod to the edge of the box is met first time by Viduka - so close, inches wide of the right-hand post

Arsenal are enjoying a lot of the ball but look slightly sluggish in the final third - whereas Leeds look lively when they do get it into Arsenal's half

Bakke's challenge on Lauren is late, and he's spoken to by Rob Styles but there's no card

Kanu nips forward and plays a superb ball to Ljungberg, completely unmarked on the right flank. His cross is perfect for Henry...

GOAL!!!!!

The unmarked Henry had the simple task of sidefooting the ball past Robinson to being Arsenal back on level terms. The goal was crisp and clincal, an indication of the rask Leeds face today

Although Arsenal had not been ripping Leeds apart, they had been allowed far too much of the ball. Eventually, the Gunners will open you up and they did just that with speed and accuracy

Bakke is caught late by Vieira - he's lucky not to go into the book

Smith tries to burst through the Arsenal defence and it's Henry, of all people, who sprints back to thwart the Leeds forward

Henry tires to get past Duberry, the defender does well to win it and hack clear

Arsenal are taking control, the early attacking impetus of Leeds now a thing of the past

Vieira spots Henry in space on the left. He picks him out and the Frenchman finds Edu in the box with an inch perfect pass...

GOAL!!!!!

Edu slid and stuck out a leg to poke the ball past a helpless Robinson. Leeds were again opened up with ease and the game has been turned on its head

It's a long way back for Leeds now, they have barely seen the ball in the last ten minutes - Arsenal are dominant

Bakke goes into the book for a lunging challenge on Vieira, he gave referee Styles no option

The Leeds fans burst into 'Marching on Together' in another show of solidarity

Robinson is sporting a new hair style, shaved round the sides. I don't know, the young 'uns these days...

Batty tries to find Milner with a raking long pass, but there's too much on it and the ball runs out

Arsenal are passing it around now, looking for another opening

Smith goes in late on Cole and catches him on the shin with his studs - that's a yellow card for the fiery tempered striker

Cole needs a bit of treatment on his shin, the Leeds fans unhappy and th boos ring out

Edu is penalised for backing into Duberry, possession back with Leeds

Smith is again in late on Edu, referee Styles says Smith won the ball but he's walking a tightrope with tackles like that

There goes the half-time whistle

Leeds were lucky to get the opening goal in the way they did, but after Arsenal had found their feet they dominated totally

The goals from Henry and Edu were worked in sublime fashion, and Arsenal look good for the victory. Leeds, on the other hand, will be glad of half-time - it may have saved Smith from a red card

Arsenal get us underway in the second period

Henry is penalised for holding back Batty, free-kick

Leeds win another free-kick, ten yards outside the box, for Ljungberg's trip on Smith. It's Harte who swings it into the box only for Edu to clear

It's a good start from Leeds as they look to get back on level terms

Kanu plays Henry through the centre. He chases the ball, takes a touch and finds Kanu in the box. Kanu twists past Harte and lays it off for Edu, who see's his shot cleared off the line by Kilgallon. Almost a third

Arsenal win a free-kick 25 yards out. Henry takes, his shot flicks off the head of Viduka and behind for a corner

Edu delivers from the right, Campbell is left totally unmarked but puts his header over the bar. That should have been game over

Lauren does well against the run of Milner but has to give away a corner. Milner takes, only to find the gloves of Lehmann

Leeds are still battling, but it's hard to see them breaking through

Bakke looks for Viduka with a little chip over the top, Lehman rushes out to claim the loose ball

Bakke finds space on the right and his first time cross is aimed for Matteo - Keown gets there first and puts it behind

Edu heads clear from Harte's corner kick

Free-kick to Leeds. Harte lofts it in towards Bakke in the box, he looks to be getting there ahead of Campbell, but the England defender gets there to head behind

Harte takes the corner from the rigth again, and again it's Edu who's first with the header

Henry gets in behind Richardson, it suddenly opens up. He looks for Ljungberg coming in at the back stick only for Duberry to get in with a superb challenge

Henry takes the corner, Robinson punches clear

Cole gets ino the box, and a lucky break sees the ball fall to Kanu, he nips it round Matteo but sees his powerful effort beaten away by Robinson. He should have scored

Smith wins the ball off Cole with a strong challenge, he's looking a little hot-headed again

Kanu shows a little trickery on the edge of the box, but his shot is blocked well by Kilgallon

Arsenal look to be taking control of the game again now, but will they rue all the missed chances?

Smith tries a speculative effort from 25-yards, and finds row Z

Campbell shows a calm head to hold of Viduka on the edge of his own box and bring it clear

Lamine Sakho comes on in place of Eirik Bakke

Smith shows a turn of pace on the right and finds Viduka on the edge of the six-yard box. But he finds himself with his back to go and his shot on the turn it blocked by Keown

Henry does well, and finds Ljungberg on the edge of the box. The pass lacks a little weight and Matteo's challenge is enough to thwart the Swede as he tries to turn

Edu is caught on the ankle by the challenge from Duberry, and the Brazilian midfielder needs some treatment

Milner finds acres of space on the right and wins a corner as Campbell puts his cross behind.

Harte delivers, Lehmann flaps at it once again but gets fingertips to it. Referee Styles misses that and gives the goal-kick

Smith tries to find Viduka through the centre but Cole does well to read it and intercept

Henry's flick sends Ljungberg through, he's too quick for Matteo and bursts into the box - only to hit the sidenetting with his effort

Milner chases down a long ball, forcing Lehmann to come out of his area. The German is there first to clear but Milner picks up a knock in the process. He'll be okay

Edu feeds Kanu on the left, and the Nigerian shows fantastic foot work to get round Richardson, to the byline but can't get the ball past Robinson. It should have been a corner, but a goal-kick is given

A treble change for Arsenal. Ray Parlour, Robert Pires and Kolo Toure are on for Freddie Ljungberg, Nwankwo Kanu and Edu

Corner for Leeds, Milner takes but again it's headed clear by the first defender

Sakho breaks forward, only to be brought down crudely by Gilberto. That's another caution

James Milner will have to be replaced after picking up that knock, the 16-year-old Aaron Lennon comes on

Harte takes the free-kick. It's awful, and Lehmann collects

Pires finds Henry, and a combination of Lennon and Richardson is needed to win the ball back

Lennon does well to hold up Cole as he tries to break down the left

Henry turns Kilgallon with ease just inside the box and squares it for the onrushing Pires...

Pires has the simple task of sidefooting past Robinson. So quick, so clinical. Game over.

A mix-up between Cole and Campbell gifts the ball to Viduka on the edge of the box. He slips on the shot and it goes well wide

The game appear dead an buried down. Leeds a beaten side, Arsenal happy to pass the ball around

Pires is fed in on the left, and he chips a superb ball over the top for the run of Toure...

Toure ghosted in to place the ball past Robinson, who was again left helpless by poor defending. Arsenal are rampant, Leeds are in tatters

And there goes the final whistle

Leeds may have started well and got the lucky break, but as soon as Arsenal settled down there was only ever going to be one winner

Arsenal seemed capable of ripping into Leeds at will, and in truth they could have won by a far greater margin
