Terry Venables could hardly be termed popular in these parts so Leeds face a tough test at Selhurst Park when they face Liverpool's conquerors in Crystal Palace.

And that's it for an explosive 45 minutes... A brilliant equaliser from Gray immediately followed Kelly's sharply-taken opener, but Palace can feel aggrieved at not being in front after that goalmouth scramble. 1-1 at the break

Palace restart, hoping to build on their great recovery from Kelly's opener. Duberry makes an early error - attacking throw for Palace

Black does well on the right but Gray miscontrols with the goal at his mercy after the cross had drifted over Riihilahti

Here comes James Milner - replacing Okon. The ever-combative Smith drops into midfield

Now Johnson bustles his way past Radebe, forcing Robinson into a sharp save at the near post. Leeds half clear the corner - but Granville strikes weakly from outside the box. Easy for the Leeds keeper

Kelly finds Mills running into space on the inside-right. The England man hits powerfully and Berthelin saves awkwardly with his legs

Granville hammers left-footed, bringing a good save from Robinson, who gathers on the half-volley moving to his left

That caps a great week for the Socceroo and matched anything he did against England in midweek
