Chelsea – Queens Park Rangers

1. Join us from 1330 BST for live text commentary of Chelsea v QPR. All eyes will be on John Terry and Anton Ferdinand but this is also a massive match in the race for fourth place, and Premier League survival.

2. <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/images/2011/1221/antonferdinandandjohnterrynew_275x155.jpg">Anton Ferdinand will be on the same pitch as John Terry for the second time since he was allegedly racially abused by the Chelsea captain last October. They faced each other in an FA Cup tie in late January.

3. Mark Hughes snubbed a Premier League suggestion for QPR to <a href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story/_/id/1056505/qpr%27s-mark-hughes-rejects-%27guard-of-honour%27-idea?cc=5739" target="_blank">form a guard of honour for Chelsea </a>as an alternative to the cancelled pre-match handshake.

4. Jose Bosingwa starts at centre-back as Chelsea make six changes. The Blues rested several of their Champions League heroes, as well as recalling Fernando Torres, Daniel Sturridge, Salomon Kalou, Paulo Ferreira and Michael Essien.

5. QPR make two changes, Djibril Cisse playing for the first time since his latest ban while Akos Buzsaky also returns.

6. So, with Zamora and Cisse up top it looks as if QPR are going to try and exploit any weaknesses in Chelsea's rearguard given their defensive injury crisis. Good on him I say.

7. Further hope for QPR comes with the stat that Chelsea are yet to win a London derby this season.

8. But despite the injury crisis, and that previous stat, this is still a Chelsea team with seasoned internationals in it and that forward line of Torres, Sturridge and Mata ain't half bad is it?

9. Before kick off, why not have a read of our <a href="http://blogs.soccernet.com/chelsea/archives/2012/04/dispair_disbelief_and_ecstasy.php" target="_blank">Chelsea blogger Phil Lythell's reflections on the Blues' amazing Champions League result in Barcelona</a>.

10. 1'

    <b>We're off...</b>

11. 1'

    <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Sturridge!

12. 1'

Crumbs! A heck of a strike from Sturridge, who cuts inside Ferdinand and fires a shot into Kenny's near post. Boom. Only 46 seconds on the clock.

13. 2'

Well, QPR's tough task just got decidedly more tough. A lovely strike from Sturridge.

14. 3'

Buzsaky tries to level it up with a long range strike of his own but from a free kick 35 yards out, he hits it into the stand.

15. 4'

Ferdinand is across well to prevent Sturridge slotting another as Mata tried to slide him in.

16. 5'

Now an appeal for handball as Bosingwa shoots. It hit his elbow but his arm wasn't out and he was only yards away. Corner.

17. 6'

A good spell for QPR as Cisse puts two dangerous crosses into the box. Zamora narrowly fails to meet the first before Cech flaps the second clear.

18. 7'

The pitch is very wet, not surprising as it has been raining in London for about two weeks.

19. 8'

No standing water to speak of but the ball isn't bouncing properly in places.

20. 9'

Chelsea have Newcastle at home on Wednesday too - two home wins in four days would push them back into the Champions League frame with a bang.

21. 10'

Cisse is actually playing wide left with Zamora up top on his own.

22. 11'

Mata's long ball is hooked back by Torres and he wins a corner off Hill.

23. 12'

Cheeky effort from Terry as the corner drops - he tries a scissor kick but hits it right at Kenny.

24. 13'

Superb effort from Lampard - a cheeky chip from the edge of the box. Kenny tips over the bar.

25. 13'

    <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Terry makes it two!

26. 13'

So easy, Terry gets a yard on Hill, climbs above the defender and nods into the net.

27. 14'

"Anton, what's the score?" sing Chelsea's fans, who are booing him whenever he gets the ball. Not good.

28. 15'

Well, QPR looked shellshocked. They have a mountain to climb now. Still, if they get the next goal...

29. 16'

Here's a link to our <a href="http://soccernet.espn.go.com/tables/live/_/league/eng.1/barclays-premier-league?cc=5739" target="_blank">live Premier League</a> table, so you can keep up to date with all the machinations as they occur.

30. 17'

Barton tries to release Mackie but the ball is overhit.

31. 19'

    <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Torres!

32. 19'

A nice finish that, similar to the one in Barcelona. Kalou finds him with a gem of a pass, he rounds Kenny and slots into an empty net.

33. 20'

A fabulous ball from Kalou - he was on the touchline but sent it inside Hill to find Torres, who finished very calmly. This could get ugly for QPR.

34. 21'

Terry leans into Zamora and causes him to fall flat on his back. Painful. A bit naughty from Terry.

35. 22'

Barton tries a shot, Terry deflects it behind for a corner.

36. 23'

Terry nods the corner away and Sturridge does well to set Chelsea off on the counter.

37. 25'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Torres capitalises on a horror show at the back from QPR.

38. 25'

Kenny comes out to claim a Mata ball into the box but just before he gets there Onuoha gets his head on it. It falls loose and Torres smashes home.

39. 26'

QPR have been completely rotten at the back. That was a goal completely of their own making. This could be a cricket score.

40. 27'

Torres robs Cisse and finds Kalou but his shot is poor with the ball caught under his feet.

41. 28'

It should have been five - Torres finds Mata, who touches off to Lampard but he can't divert the ball past Kenny.

42. 30'

QPR look utterly demoralised - as you would expect. What does Mark Hughes say at half time?

43. 31'

As for Chelsea, what form they are in. Confidence is flowing through their veins.

44. 32'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/images/2012/0429/danielsturridgegoalchelseavqpr20120429_275x155.jpg"><br>Daniel Sturridge opened the scoring for Chelsea after just 46 seconds.

45. 33'

A great sliding tackle from Essien - one that goes on for about 30 yards. Howard Webb didn't like it though, even though he got the ball.

46. 34'

Essien has a pop from range but drags it well wide of the target.

47. 35'

Onuoha's turn to have a crack, he does well to cut inside but isn't happy on his left and fires over the bar.

48. 36'

At least QPR have stemmed the flow of goals for now. Chelsea can cruise their way through this now.

49. 37'

Ferreira tracks Taiwo's run and blocks the shot. Then Sturridge's break is stopped by Buzsaky.

50. 38'

Crickey - the sun is out at Stamford Bridge. Haven't seen it in weeks.

51. 39'

Taiwo wins a corner off Ferreira.

52. 40'

Sturridge breezes past Ferdinand and crosses but Hill clears. Barton boots the ball out of play with Mata down.

53. 41'

And you can see why from the replay, as Barton slapped his foot into Mata's shin, before standing on his foot a split second later.

54. 42'

Mata is back on after some treatment. Barton lucky not to be carded.

55. 43'

Torres fires narrowly over after another neat move, Mata to Lampard, then he finds Torres but he was on the stretch and skewed the ball wide of the post.

56. 44'

QPR's goal difference is now -22 after this first half hammering. They've gone level with Wigan.

57. 45'

<b>HALF TIME</b> What a joyous 45 minutes for Chelsea. Torres grabs two as QPR abandoned any defensive principles they had to start with. This game is over and QPR are in deep trouble.

58. <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/images/2012/0429/johnterrygoalchelseavqpr20120429_275x155.jpg"><br>John Terry was at the centre of much of the pre-match build up and he was in the spotlight for the right reasons after scoring Chelsea's second

60. Trevor Sinclair's memorable overhead kick for QPR against Barnsley is among the contenders for ESPN's greatest FA Cup moments.<a href="https://www.facebook.com/ESPNTVUK/app_372841396092072" target="_blank">You can vote for your favourite moments here.</a>

61. 46'

Damage limitation the key for QPR as we begin again...

62. 47'

Derry tugs back Mata after the Spaniard had nutmegged him.

63. 48'

Sturridge goes down in the box with Hill holding him but he's never going to get a pen for that.

64. 49'

Sturridge on the ball again but this time his cross is claimed by Kenny.

65. 50'

Sturridge now dribbles to the edge of the box before Onuoha robs him of the ball.

66. 51'

Super play from Ashley Cole, who cut inside then slid a lovely ball into Mata but he couldn't get the power on his shot and KEnny saves easily.

67. 52'

Chelsea fans singing to their QPR counterparts: "We're going to Germany, you're going to Barnsley."

68. 53'

Great hit from Mackie and Cech scrambles across to prevent it going into the top corner.

69. 54'

That was a very, very good save from Cech. Mackie's shot ook a flick off Terry too.

70. 55'

Torres should have done better as Chelsea break from the corner. Mata finds Sturridge, he finds Torres, who shifts the ball to his right before falling over.

71. 56'

Hill shoves Torres in the back and Chelsea win a free kick.

72. 57'

Another free kick given away by Joey Barton. He's getting increasingly wound up.

73. 58'

Fierce shot from Torres and a good save from Kenny.

74. 59'

Cue the "Is he back?" debate.

75. 60'

He's certainly looked more like his old self today. Still not quite the full package though.

76. 61'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/yellow_card.jpg" height="15"> Barton gets his inevitable booking, then refuses to come and receive his card from Webb.

77. 62'

If I were Mark Hughes I'd fish Barton off right now before he gets a red.

78. 63'

Derry gives away a free kick and Mata curls it over the bar from 23 yards out.

79. 64'

Decent chance for QPR as Zamora plays Mackie through but his cross is behind Cisse.

80. 64'

    <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Torres hat-trick!

81. 64'

A cool finish, yet again. Sprung through by Mata he composes himself then finds the far corner.

82. 65'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Buzsaky goes off, Traore comes on.

83. 66'

Roman is in the house and is smashing out the high fives in his executive box. Loves it.

84. 67'

Fernando Torres has scored his first hat-trick since September 2009 vs Hull City.

85. 68'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Job firmly done so Mata off, Malouda on.

86. 70'

Decent run from Traore and a deep cross but Cole gets to the ball before Mackie.

87. 71'

A nasty foul from Torres on Onuoha - why he hasn't been carded for that I'll never know.

88. 72'

QPR's best chances as Zamora volleys a cross into the ground and Cisse nods over from four yards.

89. 73'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Ramires comes on for Kalou, to a hero's welcome.

90. 74'

Nice break from Derry and a ball through to Cisse but the striker had strayed offside and missed anyway.

91. 75'

Cisse's hair is predictably silly too, a big blond mohawk with matching gold beard trim.

92. 76'

Torres finds Ferreira on the right and his cross really should have been better.

93. 77'

More sloppy finishing from Chelsea as Lampard gets into the box but Hill blocks him off.

94. 78'

Now Ramires forces Kenny into a save with a powerful shot.

95. 78'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Wright-Phillips is on for Zamora. He gets applause from the home fans.

96. 80'

    <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Malouda makes it half a dozen.

97. 80'

Good burst from Ramires, his cross is diverted out to Malouda, who finishes from seven yards out.

98. 81'

<img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/subs.gif"> Sam Hutchinson comes on for Bosingwa. He had retired thinking a knee injury had ended his career, then it cleared up and Chelsea resigned him.

99. 82'

Great story. He's a die-hard Chelsea fan too. Great moment for him.

100. 84'

     <img src="http://soccernet-assets.espn.go.com/design05/gp10/i/goal.gif"> <b>GOAL</b> Cisse grabs a consolation.

101. 84'

Onuoha does well to battle down the right and pull the ball back for Cisse who lashes home from eight yards out.

102. 85'

That maintains Cisse's record of either scoring or being sent off in every game he's played for QPR.

103. 86'

Taiwo wins a corner after his long shot is deflected behind.

104. 87'

An awful corner from Barton then an even worse cross second time around as the ball comes back to him.

105. 88'

Lampard still in search of a goal but he'll have to settle for a corner, and more stick from QPR's fans.

106. 89'

Nice move from Chelsea as Lampard finds Torres, he lays off to Malouda but his shot from the edge of the box is a bit rubbish.

107. 90'

     Three minutes added....

108. 91'

Lovely move from Chelsea as Torres spreads the ball wide for Lampard, he returns the favour but Onuoha blocks the shot brilliantly.

109. 92'

Malouda's volley is so bad he's just hit the big screen.

110. 93'

<b>FULL TIME</b> An absolute pasting that was. Chelsea dominant from minute one and should have scored double figures. Torres with a very smart hat-trick, and so many plus points for the Blues. A nightmare for QPR, whose goal difference has taken a battering, as well as their confidence.
