6. Newcastle make two changes to the side that lost to Manchester United on boxing day. Cheick Tiote and Gabriel Obertan come in for Mike Williamson and Vurnon Anita.

7. The last time these two sides met was in March when Thomas Vermaelen hit an injury-time winner as Arsenal won 2-1. Hatem Ben Arfa had put Newcastle ahead before Robin van Persie equalised.

    Sagna this time picks out Cazorla in the box. The Spaniard tries a cross-cum shot but the angle is too tight and Krul claims it with ease.

    So Arsenal have been looking to get the ball on the floor and play some football. Cazorla is already at the heart of their play.

    Cazorla picks out Gibbs with a cross-field ball but the full back concedes possession cheaply.

    Coloccini clatters Walcott with a strong challenge. He won the ball the referee says.

    Ba brings a ball into the box under control and sets up Cisse but Arsenal do well to close the striker down straight away.

    Walcott almost catches out Perch but the Newcastle man is just able to play his back pass safely to Krul who clears.

    Arsenal have been pressing Newcastle very quickly as soon as they get on the ball.

    Krul does well to come off his line and clear a long ball over the top before Walcott could get to it.

    Marveaux picks out the run of Simpson on the right but Gibbs blocks his cross off for the corner.

    Ba rises to meet Marveaux's corner but he can only head over the bar. Should really have hit the target.

    Newcastle starting to see a lot more of the ball now.

    Marveaux picks out Ba with a great ball but the striker is wrongly accused of being offside.

    Oxlade-Chamberlain shakes off Santon and bursts down the right before firing a dangerous ball across goal but Coloccini is there to clear.

    Newcastle are really making Arsenal work hard at the moment. The away side cannot break down the opposition's defence though.

    Marveaux sends a poor corner in and Arsenal break through Walcott. The winger pours forward but his pass to the unmarked Cazorla is poor and he wastes a real chance for the Gunners.
