Tottenham Hotspur – Chelsea

1. Join us at 1730 BST to see if Chelsea can continue their title charge against in-form Spurs.

2. Ledley King is out for Spurs, but Bassong comes in. Otherwise it's a similar looking side to the one that beat Arsenal - minus the hero danny Rose of course.

3. Chelsea look strong, with Drogba, Malouda and Joe Cole in the side. Also, they have Lampard and Deco there and Mikel holding.

4. Anelka is on the bench, along with Ashley Cole - it's been a while since we've seen him.

5. Spurs have a great home record, especially when it comes to defending, and Chelsea will need to be at their best to break them down.

6. Jermain Defoe has something to prove as he has not netted in his last three games. Drogba is not in a similar position as he has banged in 25 in 28 this season.

7. Gareth Bale is the man to watch for Spurs. He's been in great form and could cause Chelsea problems.

8. Frank Lampard likes to score against Harry Redknapp, but Florent Malouda is the man in form for the Blues.

    Bright sunshine here.. Chelsea are under some pressure to perform.

    Defoe immediately finds space on the right and hits it across the box. Cech grabs it though.

    Bale does well down the left and Ekotto pulls it back. Mikel is there though, that was a good position.

    Bale again makes ground down the left and it's Chelsea on the back foot.

    First break for Chelsea, Joe Cole picks it up and almost catches Spurs out. Mikel slots it to Malouda and Gomes rushes out to claim.

    Pavlyuchenko takes a shot when Chelsea's defence stuttered. It flies well over the bar though.

    Good pressure from Lampard, although Malouda could learn a thing or two as he was standing static.

    Malouda strikes one! Great hit, far out on the left and it had some dip on it. Gomes palms it away for a corner.

    Alex got on the end of the corner and Dawson did well to block him off.

    Defoe slots it across to Bentley, who breaks. Tottenham look like they could score.. Bale puts it across the box and Alex is there to knock it away.

    Good game so far, both sides have had chances and there could be goals in this one.

    Bentley attacks down the right. He's proving to be a thorn in Chelsea's side and Bale is doing the same on the other side.

    Pavlyuchenko in the box tries to get free, but his shot is blocked twice.

    Defoe gets a one-on-one with Terry and stumbles past him. Terry was holding him off and had a hold of his shirt. Lucky, lucky boy.

    Cech comes storming out and Bale gets there ahead of him. Chelsea are lucky though as they have men back.

    Penalty shout! Bale went down under a tackle from Mikel and I didn't think he got the ball.

    PENALTY! Now they get one. Just a minute afterwards, John Terry leans into a bouncing ball with his hand... pen!

    GOAL! Defoe slots it home!

    Hard and to the keeper's right. Defoe has a bad pen record this season, but that was confident.

    Chelsea have a long way back now as Spurs have started well.

    Joe Cole swings the ball back across the box, Drogba is there, but his left footed shot is scuffed and easily saved by Gomes.

    Ball gets the better of Ferreira, but Alex comes across and gets the ball clear.

    Modric seeing a lot of the ball and looking to control the pace of the game. Chelsea are chasing shadows a little bit.

    Zhirkov breaks past Kaboul, but loses the ball and goes in on Dawson. No booking though.

    Bale even shows good aerial ability, he's been a real danger.

    Tottenham moving the ball really well, and proving tough to break up when they have the ball. Chelsea are struggling to cope with the pace of the game.

    Pavlyuchenko turns on the egde of the area and unleashes a shot. Cech palms it over. A decent effort.

    Chelsea still finding space though. Cole out on the right is doing well, but Ekotto blocks him off.

    Cole overhits the ball.. good chance there with a few bodies in the box.

    Bentley finds space in the box after some great play from Modric. He should have hit it with his first touch, but Alex did well to block it.

    Drogba makes some space now, but they are struggling with the final ball. We've seen that already today...

    Now they are knocking it around with panache. Bit of possession football will do them good.

    Drogba showing his frustration though. He's not had much of a chance.

    Ballack will give them a bit more thrust. But defensively, they may struggle a bit in the centre.

    Zhirkov wastes it as a good chance developed. A bit of space down the left, but Malouda misunderstood and the ball rolled harmlessly out. That's been the story of the half so far.

    Bale with a great cross after a short corner. Chelsea were caught out, but the Blues defend it well.

    Kaboul finds himself a free header from a corner. He was unchallenged, but he really should have aimed his header down. Cech claimed with ease.

    GOAL! Great work from Malouda... but it's ruled offside! He turned his man, but he was just off.

    The score stays at 0-0. How frustrating for Chelsea.

    Chelsea are making the better of the game now. Malouda flicks the ball on but Bassong is there to get it away.

    Lampard slots it through to Joe Cole, but again the ball is hit just too far ahead.

    Chelsea have been missing that cutting edge. They need to be more accurate with their passing in the final third.

    He was put through and Ferreira was nowhere. He turns and cuts inside on his right, and smashes it beyond Cech!

    Incredible goal and nothing less than Spurs have deserved.

    Oh what a save. Gomes now saves the day! Zhirkov gets away down the Chelsea left and squares it for Lampard on the volley. Hits it clean and Gomes parries it away.

    And that's it! Spurs have been the better side and have two goals to show for it. A penalty, and Gareth Bale's impressive strike has opened up the title race, unless Chelsea can do something about it.

    Drogba finds some space on the left and seems to be moving a bit better now, his ball in is snuffed out though.

    Now Cech claims from a corner. He's keeping his side in the tie, but they are struggling up front.

    Chelsea's fans look very quiet. Spurs' are cheering and screaming. How do Chelsea come back from this?

    Zhirkov's inadvertent touch directed that beyond Gomes, but Drogba wasn't quite up to that, as it squirted away.

     Defoe now cuts inside and releases a right footed shot. It balloons wide, but Spurs are right on top.

     Chelsea throwing men forward, but they have no-one at home at the back. Defoe senses blood and Alex brings him down. Free-kick.. Bentley's turn now?

     Defoe hits it! Bentley must be annoyed. It rebounds off the wall and Bentley tries a chip.. Cech backpedals and tips it over.

     Modric now pulling the strings. Easy passing moves from Spurs and Chelsea are struggling.

     The game is petering out already? 15 mins left, but slow build up from Chelsea is not getting them anywhere.

     Pavlyuchenko looks tired and a little wasteful. Gudjohnsen looks like he's coming on.

     Ivanovic is given a little too much space. He hammers it with his right peg and it hits the top of the netting... close.

     Ancelotti looks like he's shouting in Italian - apparently he only does that when he's really annoyed.

     Drogba forced to chase down the ball, but Dawson has been immense all game and heads clear.

     Cech launches a clearance up the field, but there's no-one within 50 yards of where it lands. Odd, for a side who need goals.

     Bale now tries to swing the ball in, but gets too much on it.

     Ballack loses out to Gudjohnsen and Spurs break. Brilliant run from Bale, gets the ball and chooses to shoot when he should have squared it. Cech makes the save.

     What a tackle! If you want something to show how good Dawson has been, look at this. Drogba free on the left, and he comes crashing across, making up so much ground, blocking his shot as he swings his foot.

     He's been exceptional, and the fact Chelsea have been poor up front is due to Dawson's impact.

     Huddlestone now does really well after a great chipped ball from Zhirkov, blocking Alex's header with what looks like the back of his head.

     Deco gets a yellow now. Chelsea really do not lose gracefully.

     Bale almost caps a great performance with another goal. Great energy and pace gets him onto a long ball and he just slips it wide of the post.

     Even Gomes calmly passes the ball around Drogba now. The Oles are out in force.

     Bale breaks down the left. Pops it across to Pavlyuchenko who is free in the box, but the Russian misses the volley. A sitter!

     It's a training match now. Chelsea have given up the ghost and have three more games left to save their season.

     GOAL! Well that's come from nowhere. Spurs defence goes to sleep as Ballack whips it into the box. Lampard runs in and slots it home.

     The defence was too far out and Lampard found some space for the first time. Could it be?

     Alex gets a header on target, but it won't trouble Gomes, who claims with ease.

     Chelsea given the ball, with Alex playing up top. Dawson stands firm.

     A calm header back to Gomes from Ekotto. That'll be it, as the title race is open again!

     Not only are United and Arsenal back in the title race, Spurs have now got a hold of 4th place as they are 2 points clear.
