3. Etey Shechter is starting up front for the hosts with free-scoring Michu. Meanwhile Ashley Williams is in defence where he will line up against Luis Suarez.

6. Jordan Henderson and Stewart Downing come in for Liverpool.Nuri Sahin and Suso are dropped to the bench, while Joe Allen starts against his former side.

7. You can expect goals today - Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet on the road in their last 12 Premier League away games.

10. The two sides have of course met once already this season, with Swansea winning 3-1 at Anfield in the Capital One Cup.

    Liverpool try to get forward early on through Enrique down the left but Rangel puts the tackle in.

    A bit sloppy out there at the minute as both sides give the ball away in quick succession.

    It is Liverpool seeing most of the ball. Downing tries to send a ball in from the left but it is poor.

    Rangel picks out Hernandez with a lovely ball down the left but Downing does well to track back. Corner for Swansea.

    Liverpool get it clear but still Swansea build.

    Hernandez wins a throw down the right. This time Enrique gets the block in.

    It is Swansea now enjoying the lion's share of possession. Britton tries to play in Davies down the left but Liverpool intercept.

    Chico goes for a long-range effort but it canons off a Liverpool defender.

    A very good spell for this Swansea. They are putting Liverpool under a lot of pressure.

    Sterling does well to get in a cross from the right but Swansea are able to clear.

    Suarez puts Chico under pressure and sets up Sterling. The Liverpool man gets a shot in at goal but it is straight at Tremmel.

    De Guzman tries to pick out Davies on the left but Sterling does very well to get back and put a challenge in.

    Suarez plays in Johnson on the right. The full back fizzes a ball across goal but Williams clears for the corner.

    Gerrard sends in the corner. Johnson rises to meet it but heads it well over.

    Routledge does well to beat Skrtel before firing in a shot at goal. Reina does brilliantly to tip it past the post.

    Both sides are putting the other under real pressure whenever they are on the ball. It has been a real frantic start.

    Sterling runs forward with the ball and some space opens up so he shoots but it is tame and straight at Tremmel.

    Interestingly, Brendan Rodgers signed just two of the Swansea players in their starting line-up today.

    Enrique breaks forward from the left. Suarez makes the run and wants the pass but the left back just delays it and by the time he makes the pass the striker is offside.

    A great chance for Liverpool. After some good link-up play Johnson plays a ball in from the right. Enrique meets it in the middle but somehow uses his chest to strike it and it bounces just wide.

    Some of Swansea's passing has been a little off the pace today. Not their usual self so far.

    Hernandez does brilliantly as he beats two men and plays it to Routledge who flicks it over the top first time looking for the run of Shechter but Reina does well to smother.

    A ball is played over the top to Suarez down the other end but it is a little too long for him.

    Some more excellent from Hernandez who plays in Shechter. The striker tries to play it back to the winger in the box but his pass is just a little overhit.

    Downing is struggling at left back at the moment. Hernandez is making him work hard.

    Swansea playing keep-ball with Britton and De Guzman keeping things ticking over.

    De Guzman soon wastes possession as he tries to play a pass in behind the Liverpool defence but it is poor.

    Johnson makes a great run infield from the right into the box. But he is just unable to get the ball out of his feet to shoot.

    Johnson stays forward and Enrique plays him in. The full back gets the shot away but Tremmel makes a fine save to turn it over the bar. Chance of the game so far.

    Downing comes forward down the left but gets tackled by Rangel far too easily.

    Gerrard tries to play in Sterling over the top but Davies does well to defend the danger.

    A nice Liverpool move sees Suarez eventually fire in an effort at goal but it rebounds back off a defender.

    Hernandez and Shechter play a neat one-two before the Spanish winger tries to bend an effort into the corner from the edge of the box. Sails just wide. Reina looked beaten.

    It has been a pretty even game so far with both sides, as you would expect, trying to play good football and get forward.

    De Guzman finds himself in space down the right but his pace lets him down. Gerrard gives away the ball back to the midfielder who shoots tamely from the edge of the box and it goes well wide. Should have passed.

    Skrtel tries to find Downing with a cross-field ball but it goes out for a throw-in.

    Johnson plays in Sterling down the right with a lovely ball. Sterling whips in a dangerous cross that Tremmel fails to deal with. Suarez is first to the rebound bu Angel blocks.

    The resulting corner comes out to Sterling on the edge of the box who takes a touch before firing it at the bar. Unlucky. The ball soon comes out to Allen but he sends his shot well wide.

136. A point for each team was about right. A promising first half was followed by a far less open second. Both sides had a couple of half chances but the more the half went on the more the game had a draw written all over it.
