2. Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has restored £35 million striker Andy Carroll to the starting line-up, at the expense of Dirk Kuyt, for the trip to Tottenham. Spurs are unchanged from the team that beat Wolves last weekend.

4. Both managers have talked up the qualities of the opposition in their pre-match interviews so we are expecting a close battle.

6. Skrtel, a centreback, starts at rightback for Liverpool and he will be up against Gareth Bale. That should be an interesting battle. Expect "a reducer" from the Reds defender early on.

   What a chance for Adebayor! Kranjcar sets him up from the right and he takes it first time but shins it wide from 16 yards. Good move.

   Liverpool are rocking here - a dodgy back pass puts Reina in trouble before Bale's cross is cleared by Carragher.

    Spurs are flying here - Adebayor feeds Bale who speeds into the area and crosses but Defoe can't finish under pressure from Agger.
