3. Spurs drop Jermain Defoe and bring in Jake Livermore. Adebayor is fit and starts.

    Good defence from Gutierrez as Bale and Adebayor linked up then great battling from Ba to turn Kaboul and win a throw.

    The game is a bit stretched after the goal and Spurs were briefly two on two then - if only Adebayor could have slipped the ball to Bale in space.

    Gutierrez does very well to squirm away from two players and he feeds Cabaye but an errant lay-off from him renders the opportunity lost.

    Van der Vaart should have scored. Newcastle stopped as they thought the ball had gone out of play, the ref said it hadn't and Modric fed VDv but his tame shot was right at Krul.

    A huge let off for Newcastle as Parker breaks, he feeds Adebayor and Defoe was free to his left but he delayed the pass and lost the opportunity.

    What a passage of play! Newcastle lose possession, Defoe is in but a great sliding tackle from Coloccini denies him, then Defoe's follow up is saved by Krul before a header from Santon back to his keeper nearly loops into the net!

    Ameobi howls for a penalty as he gets into the area and crosses. Nothing doing.

     <b>FULL TIME</b> Gutierrez fires in a dribbler as a superb game comes to an end after a breathless finish. A draw the right result. A decent advert for the Premier League.
