1. The teams are in and the big news for Manchester United is that Nani and Berbatov has recovered from injury and will start.

3. The word on the street is that Man City striker Tevez is not 100% fit but he has been picked to start against his former side.

5. Both sides look like they will line up in a 4-5-1 formation, with advanced wingers looking to join the lone striker.

6. Going into his 39th Manchester derby Sir Alex Ferguson says the build up to this one has been huge, as this result will affect the title race.

7. The lights have dimmed and United fans have lit a flare to contrast with the blue glow around Eastlands.

8. The teams are out on the pitch, the fans are chanting and we are moments away from kick-off.

   City get the game underway, wearing their usual sky blue kit, kicking from left to right.

    Tevez takes the ball down on the edge of the box. He fakes to shoot and allows Vidic time to recover to make a tackle. He should have actually taken the shot.

    City are in the driving seat early on as Nani fouls Silva in midfield.

    Zabaleta overlaps down the left flank. He looks up to cross the ball but he has no team-mate to aim for in the box.

    Tevez jumps for the ball with Rafael and falls heavily on his back. He gets slowly back to his feet.

    Evra loses the ball as he raids forward and Vidic has to snuff out a City counter-attack.

    City are playing a quick pressing game when they lose the ball and United just can't keep possession.

    United finally work the ball to the edge of the City box. Nani shoots from long-range but his effort is blocked by a swarm of blue shirts.

    Zabaleta takes a heavy touch as he races forward down the left. He clatters into Rafael as he tries to regain possession. He escapes without a yellow card.

    City look really up for it tonight. United are feeding on scraps.

    United are happy to pass the ball around at the back to take the sting out of the game.

    Fletcher is taken out from behind by Boateng. He is lucky to escpae a yellow card. It's freekick within shooting distance....

    ...Nani goes for goal but the ball clips the wall and dribbles through to City keeper Hart.

    Nani takes on Barry down the right and wins a corner. He takes it himself and it's a poor one, cleared at the near post.

    Berbatov chinks through three defenders and then sets up Carrick for a long-range shot. Carrick's effort is always rising and goes well wide too.

    United have got themselves into this game now, following the fast start made by City.

    Evra goes up for a header and stays down clutching his ankle after an awkward landing.

    United are down to ten men as Evra gets some treatment on the sidleine.

    Fletcher has taken a number of poor touches tonight and his latest one brings and end to a promising United attack down the right.

    Park and Evra combine in the middle of the pitch and work the ball to the edge of the box. Evra has a great chance to shoot but hits his shot straight at Hart.

    Berbatov with some great close control in the middle of the pitch, he even shoves Barry to floor for good measure.

    The ball runs away from Nani and he comes off worse in a tackle with Gareth Barry. He was caught right on top of his foot.

    Silva plays a clever ball through to Milner in the box. Vidic has tracked his run and makes a tackle at the expense of a corner.

    United easily deal with the corner.

    A session of head tennis ends with a City throw.

    United pass it around at the back.

    Rafael breaks forward on the right. United switch play to the left, but Evra's flicked pass runs out for a goalkick to City.

    Scholes has space to run at the City defence and has room to shoot. He opts against it and chips a poor pass over the defence that runs out of play.

    Milner wins a corner. He takes it himself, badly, but wins another one.

    City work a short corner this time but Berbatov is back defending for United and brings the ball forward.

    Park races out of defence and is hacked down by Silva before he can pose any danger. Still no yellow card.

    Berbatov and Yaya Toure have a little tussle and the ref tells them to calm down.

    Milner runs at Ferdinand down the left flank, but the the defender wins that battle with a good block.

    Scholes fouls Milner about 22-yards from goal and City have a freekick in a dangerous area...

    ...Tevez curls a shot past the wall and Van Der Sar palms the ball wide for corner. The corner is wasted.

    De Jong hacks down Park, who takes a quick freekick. But City are quickly back in position and United can't get through their defence.

    Evra crosses to the back post. Berbatov is there to head at goal but instead opts to volley. It was the wrong decison as he can't get any power in the awkward shot.

    Yaya shrugs off two hacks from Scholes and drives at the United defence. Vidic comes across to make the tackle and the two man-mountains collide at full pace.

    Nani races down the left but Barry has provided cover for Zabaleta and clears the danger.

    Yaya runs at the United defence and as Vidic backs off Carrick nips in to take the ball away from the big midfielder.

    ...Silva whips in the freekick but it goes beyond the far post and goes out for goalkick.

    Berbatov has provided the spark for Manchester United and Yaya is carrying the fight for City. Both need their team-mates to step up.

     Nani dances on the edge of the box but there is no way thorugh. He passes to Brown, who mis-controls the ball and it goes out for a City throw.

     Carrick hits a long-range shot that takes a deflection. Hart is wrong-footed but the shot goes wide for a corner.

     United are really going for it now.

     Nani whips in a corner. Brown goes up for the header but jumps too soon and can't direct his header.

     City take their time over a throw. They look satisfied with the draw.

     Time is ticking away and the home side pass back to the goalkeeper. Very odd.

     Park is desperate to win back the ball and fouls De Jong.
