Hi, welcome to our coverage of this second round match between Brazil and Ghana.

Brazil kick off in Dortmund.

It is a muggy, cloudy day in Dortmund today; humid and sticky.

Adriano is tackled as he tries to get down the right; he returns for this match after being rested for the match against Japan.

CLOSE OFF-SIDE! Ronaldo is adjudged off-side as he chested down Kaka's chipped pass in to the penalty area.

Ze Roberto is knocked to the ground by Muntari; he escapes a booking, but gets a talking to from the referee.

NICE MOVE! Draman gets down the right and sprints on to a nice pass; he tries to pick out Amoah in the area, but his cross is too high.

There is a big, colourful crowd inside the stadium this afternoon.

GOAL! Ronaldo becomes the greatest World Cup goalscorer of all-time as he breaks the off-side trap, brilliantly beats the keeper with a shimmy before proding in to the empty net.

Ghana's defending there was nothing short of suicidal; to hold such a high line when there are runners of the quality of Ronaldo and passes of the standing of Kaka is a ridiculous decision.

Muntari is booked for sliding through the back of Kaka.

Ghana have to keep their composure here; it would be easy to let their heads drop, but they need to keep things tight and keep believing.

Such an early goal was the last thing the Ghanaians wanted; it would have been a real blow to their confidence.

Ronaldinho spots Cafu breaking down the right, but his quick free-kick is over-hit and runs out for a goal-kick.

Appiah is booked for leaving a leg in on a challenge.

If Ghana keep defending with such a high line, they could be on the end of a big score here.

PENALTY! NO! DIVING! Adriano is sent through, one-on-one; he tries to emulate Ronaldo with a shimmy to send Kingson the wrong way, but messes it up and ends up throwing himself to the ground in a desperate bid to win a penalty.

Ghana are chasing the ball hard as Brazil work them around in midfield.

Roberto Carlos knocks a 50-yard pass to Cafu, but the other full-back just can't control the ball; great play by the two veteran defenders.

Juan is Brazil's furthest man forward, but he is caught off-side by Ronaldinho's pass.

Ghana win a free-kick, out on the left wing; Muntari stands over the set-piece...

...but he doesn't beat Ronaldinho, who is the first man on the edge of the area.

GOOD EFFORT! Draman fires in a shot from distance; a fierce strike which Dida has to tip over the ball.

Ghana have had a decent little spell there; they look like, if they keep their confidence and belief, they could threaten the Brazilian goal at some point during this match.

Ghana commit a few too many players forward in an attack which Juan breaks down inside the penalty area; Brazil quickly counter.

Ghana look to have settled down after a very nervy statr; they are defending much better now, making it a lot harder for Brazil.

Kaka's poor pass in midfield is cut out by Appiah; the Ghana captain will have a lot of that to do this afternoon.

GOOD CHANCE, POOR FINISH! Amoah is found in a couple of yards of space on the edge of the penalty area; he turns and sends in a low shot, but he drags it wide of the near post.

Ghana are starting to make themselves known now; Brazil know they are in a contest now.

RUBBISH! Roberto Carlos gets down the left and is picked out by Ronaldinho; he has Ronaldo to aim for in the area, but he hopelessly mis-cues his cross.

GOOD FEET! Muntari beats a couple of men on the edge of the area with a nice turn, but his prod towards goal is mis-directed.

ON TARGET! Amoah cuts in from the left wing, but he scuffs his shot and Dida is able to make an easy save.

Ronaldo's strength wins Brazil a corner; Ronaldinho takes it short and receives the ball back...

CLOSE! Ronaldinho cheekily goes for goal, but Kingson is alert enough to the effort and turns the shot around the post.

Ghana break with three against three; Draman shuns his team-mates, preferring a shot instead; he blasts high over the bar from 30 yards.

Emerson is led from the field for some treatment; he looks to have picked up a thigh injury.

Ghana are probably having a bit more of the ball than Brazil at the moment; the World Champions are content to play on the break.

OOH! Gyan does wonderfully to hold off his defender and get on the end of a cross; under pressure, though, he can only stab a shot over the crossbar from close range.

Lucio is down at the moment, receiveing some treatment on a calf strain.

Ghana have had a good ten-minute spell; they have put Brazil under some real pressure and threatened their goal on a number of occasions.

Lucio is back on the field after a minute's treatment; he seems to be moving freely enough.

Eric Addo is booked for tripping Adriano as the burly striker tried to burst through the middle of the Ghana defence. Free-kick to Brazil, 35 yards out...

...but Ronaldinho spoons his shot high over the crossbar.

Addo is down holding his shin; he doesn't look happy.

Ghana win a corner when Cafu deflects Muntari's cross behind.

DIDN'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT! Muntari's corner is swung in to the middle and met by the head of Mensah, but the ball strikes the legs of Dida on the goal-line and rebounds to safety.

Ghana can consider themselves unlucky to be behind; since Brazil scored, the African nation have been the better side.

DANGEROUS SPOT! Juan is booked for a sliding challenge on Addo, 20 yards out. Ghana have a free-kick in a great spot...

OVER THE BAR! Appiah's free-kick is sent a yard or so over the crossbar; Dida looked to have it covered.

WHAT A BREAK! GOAL! A stunning break from Brazil as Kaka feeds Cafu, who sends a low cross to the back post where Adriano prods home.

Replays show that Adriano was a foot or so off-side when Cafu played the ball across the face of goal to leave him with an easy tap-in. Ghana aren't happy with the officials.

HALF-TIME: Ghana are unlucky to go in at the break two goals behind; for much of the first half, they were the better side.

Ghana kick off the second half.

It would be an enormous shock if Ghana came back from here, but all they need is an early goal, and who knows what might happen?

Ghana win a free-kick when Amoah goes down under Ze Roberto.

Gyan is booked for kicking the ball away after a free-kick goes against him.

Kaka feeds a pass through to Adriano, but Mensah shows good strength to hold the striker off and see the ball back to Kingson.

POOR FINISH! Gyan curls a shot high over the crossbar from 20 yards out; Ghana haven't brought their shooting boots with them today.

Kaka and Ronaldinho play some samba football as they one-two their way past four challenges; it doesn't get them anywhere, though.

Muntari and Lucio run in to each other as Ghana try to work a shooting chance.

Amoah slides through the back of Roberto Carlos, who winces in pain as the two lie on the ground. Amoah offers out the olive brance; Carlos reluctantly accepts.

Mensah and Adriano have a good tussle on the touchline as they battle for the ball; they are as strong as oxes, those two.

Ghana are trying to keep the tempo high, trying to ensure they don't let the game drift, but they just seem to lack the killer touch in the final third.

There have been long, long spells of nothing from Brazil during this game, though they then have the ability to burst in to life at any moment.

GREAT CHANCE, BAD FINISH! Roberto Carlos is through one-on-one with the keeper, but he seems to hesitate and Kingson is quick to come out and save with his legs.

Ghana win a corner when Juan prods Pantsil's low cross behind at the near post.

GHANA SUB: Boateng comes on to replace Addo; an attacking change from Ghana as they chase a way back in to the match.

BRAZIL SUB: Juninho replaces Adriano; a midfielder for a striker as Brazil look to strengthen in the middle of the park.

IMPORTANT! Mensah makes an important interception as Cafu breaks down the right and sends over a low cross in to the middle.

BLOCKED! Kaka finds Ronaldo on the right-edge of the area; the great striker takes a touch before trying a shot, but Mensah blocks.

Ghana still have it in them to make this an interesting final half-hour; a goal might really put the wind up Brazil.

There hasn't been as much of a goal threat at either end in this second half as there was before the break.

The tempo of the game has really slowed down to something akin to walking pace.

GOOD SAVE! Gyan digs out a shot after good play by Appiiah; it looks to be heading in to the far corner, but Dida makes a full-length save.

GHANA SUB: Tachie-Mensah comes on to replace Amoah; a striker for a striker.

WHAT! Pantsil manages to out-muscle Roberto Carlos down the right; he has time to measure his cross, but instead hurries it and shanks out of play for a goal-kick.

The winners of this game play on Saturday evening, against the winner of the France v Spain game, played later this evening.

UGLY! Gyan plays a good one-two with Tachie-Mensah, but he panics at the crucial moment and blasts his shot high and wide from 18 yards out.

WELL DONE, KEEPS! Ze Roberto times his run to perfection as he tries to get on the end of Ronaldinho's chipped through-ball, but Kingson is alert enough to come out of his area and head clear.

It's just not happening for Ghana in the second half; they have had a lot of chances to test Dida, but haven't worked him as often as they should.

Brazil, meanwhile, have been subdued today; they have played well, but only in two or three five-minute spells; the rest of the time, they have been really flat.

Tachie-Mensah lines up an extravagent volley, but Appiah takes the ball off his team-mate's foot. Perhaps wisely; he would no doubt have blasted his shot high over the bar.

DECENT CHANCE! Tachie-Mensah plays a nice pass in to the run of Gyan; he is being forced away from goal, but gets in a good left-foot strike; Dida saves.

NERVY MOMENT! Pantsil climbs highest as he tries to defend a cross in towards the back stick; he reaches the ball, but heads towards his own goal; thankfully, Kingson makes a smart save.

SENT OFF! Gyan is shown a second yellow card, for diving inside the Brazilian penalty area; replays show it was a shocking, shocking dive. He should be ashamed of himself.

It's always a little disheartening to see someone sent off, but Gyan's dive was a blatant attempt to cheat - and was rightly punished.

BRAZIL SUB: Kaka is brought off, Ricardinho comes on.

GOAL! Ze Roberto breaks the off-side trap, clips the ball past the out-rushing Kingson and prods in to the empty net.

Ghana break down the right and win themselves a corner as Pantsil's cross is put behind.

Brazil don't deserve to be three goals up; they have been pretty average this afternoon.

GOOD STRIKE! For the umpteenth time this afternoon, Ghana find themselves in a good position, but shoot straight at the keeper; this time, it's Tachie-Mensah.

GREAT SAVE! Ronaldo is denied his second goal of the game by a wonderful point-blank save by Kingson.

SUPER SAVE! Cafu works a shooting chance with some beautiful interplay; he faces up to Kingson, who makes another great save at close quarters.

ANOTHER SUPER SAVE! Ricardinho's back-heel puts Jaun through in the area, but Kingson makes another brilliant one-on-onw save.

FULL-TIME: Despite the scoreline, Brazil didn't look all that impressive; they played well in patches, but very poorly in others. Ghana exit disappointed, but with pride in tact.
