Unirea Urziceni – Liverpool

Join us at 1800 GMT for Liverpool's trip to Romania and Unirea Urziceni in the Europa League.

Liverpool have taken 2,000 fans to Bucharest for this game, which is played an hour away from Unirea's actual home. Their ground is not good enough for European competition.

Maxi Rodrigues is ineligible, but Yossi Benayoun is back in the starting line-up while Fernando Torres is again on the bench.

Dirk Kuyt is rested to the bench, which means that David Ngog, the goalscoring hero from the first leg, starts again

Unirea make one change from the Anfield tie, with Valeriu Bordeanu replacing the suspended Pablo Brandan.

It's Unirea to kick off!

Bilasco is tripped by Agger and it's a chance to put one into the mixer

It drops to Frunza on the edge of the box, he slices his effort slightly and it drifts over the bar

That shot flicked the top of the net, Frunza wanted a corner but it wasn't forthcoming. Close, though

Now Gerrard has a shot from the edge of the box which Arlauskis pushes away well. It's an entertaining start

Unirea must be more attacking than they were at Anfield, with a goal to make up. Despite this not being their home ground, the crowd is partisan

Corner to Unirea taken by Frunza. Fernandes meets it at the near post but it's a poor effort and never troubling Reina

Bilasco goes down in a heap under a challenger from Carragher. Never a foul, and the ref isn't fooled.

Unirea are happy to let Liverpool have possession at the back and try and pick a hole moving forward.

Ngog climbs on Maftei and gives away the free-kick in the Unirea box

Corner to Unirea, but it could have been worse as Lucas heads Bilasco's poor cross behind

Frunza takes the corner, and it's headed away at the near post

You wonder just how adventurous Liverpool will be, as they already hold the advantage

Skrtel goes into the back of Bilasco. Free-kick.

The early excitement has died down, and the game is becoming turgid.

The game is basically being played in a central strip of grass. It's desperate stuff at the moment. If Liverpool were to score who knows how bad it would get!

A Liverpool goal would, of course, leave Unirea needing three. And that won't happen.

Good ball over the top for Onofras, his control lets him down but it's corner

Paduretu takes the corner from the right, and Fernandes is up there...

GOAL!!!

Fernandes was competely unmarked and free to head powerfully into the roof of the net. Terrible defending, and the tie is level

Yellow card for Babel after the restart, after an arm in the face of Maftei.

The game really needed that. It will give Unirea confidence and it means Liverpool can no longer to too happy sitting back

Fernandes jumps all over Ngog and it's a free-kick on the right.

It comes into the box from Gerrard, but Arlauskis punches clear with relative ease

Galamaz is down with an ankle injury, which he seemed to suffer in fouling Skrtel on the left flank. Another good opening for Liverpool.

Galamaz, the skipper, will have to go off. Free-kick first. Gerrard takes it, and it floats over everyone and out for a goal-kick. Woeful.

Galamaz is getting the magic spray, and he's back on!

Now Ngog trips Bordeanu, another free-kick. There may be many tonight.

Galamaz has finally accepted that he cannot go on. He'll be replaced by Ersin Mehmedovic

Onofras is booked for a late trip on Babel

Another free-kick played in by Gerrard, Skrtel challenged for it but it was all very scrappy.

GOAL!!!

Mascherano thumps a shot home from 25 yards after a loose ball fell to him. Great hit

It came from a Babel error, after he failed to latch onto the ball in the six-yard area. It's an away goal for Liverpool, which makes things very hard for Unirea now

Bordeanu was booked in the aftermath of the goal

Unirea now must score two goals without reply to get themselves back in front. You can't see that happening, but at least we're saved from extra-time

Fernandes enters the book for a foul on Ngog. The cards are mounting up

That goal has knocked the stuffing out of Unirea. They have not looked like mounting an attack since.

Onofras has a shot which is deflected over. Corner.

Paduretu takes it, it causes chaos in the six-yard box, comes off the chest of Insua and goes a yard wide of the post. So close.

This time Frunza delivers from the right, and Reina punches away.

Now Paduretu tries a shot from outside the area and Reina has to get down to his right superbly to save

Another corner for Paduretu - the danger man from corner. He drifts it in and Reina gloves it behind without any convinction. Pressure mounts.

Back to the other side, but Frunza's corners are just not as good and Liverpool clear

Shakhtar Donetsk 0-1 Fulham (Brede Hangeland 33')

Another foul by Fernandes. He wants to be careful with this ref.

GOAL!

Babel stabs home from close range

Aggregate is now 1-3. I'm going to stick my neck out and say this tie is over.

Frunza hits an effort hide, wide and hansom.

Two minutes to be added on.

Carragher and Frunza challenge each other high. Free-kick to Unirea, but no card.

The free-kick comes in and it falls to Onofras, who fires wide

And the half-time whistle goes.

It would be a major shock if Unirea managed to muster the three goals they need to get through this tie. Hopefully they will bring some entertainment for us, though. Back in 15.

Gerrard and Mascherano get the second half started.

The heavens have well and truly opened for the second 45 minutes. The pitch was not the greatest, and now it will get worse.

This tie is pretty much done and dusted, so we're just hoping for some entertainment.

The winners of this match will play the team which comes through the Lille/Fenerbahce tie. The first leg is in two weeks' time with the return a week later. Liverpool, it appears, will be at home in the second leg.

Lille won the first leg 2-1, with the second leg in Turkey kicking off in an hour

Cross on the left from Bordeanu finds Onofras at the far post, he heads it down for Frunza who blazes wide. Should have scored

The linesman had already flagged, though, for offside against Onofras

Gerrard drags a shot well wide

Another free-kick for Liverpool. Handball given against Paraschiv just outside the box. Unirea complain but the ref ignored them.

The free-kick is just over 20 yards out. Gerrard hits it only to see Arlauskis get down well to his right and push it behind

Arlauskis is booked after claiming to have been blocked off by Babel. He certainly was, but it was not given. By any of the multitude of refs

Corner to Liverpool on the right - but not before the ref has words with Arlauskis and Babel about their ongoing battle

Gerrard takes the corner, and Arlauskis takes at the second attempt.

A change for the home side as Paraschiv is replaced by the Brazilian Ricardo Vilana

GOAL!

Good work from Benayoun just inside the box, he manages to help the ball to Gerrard who fires through Arlauskis

I think we can put to bed any doubt about the result now. 1-4 on aggregate

I'll keep you up to date with the other scores in the early games, with this match all but over.

PSV Eindhoven 2 - 1 Hamburg SV, with Balazs Dzsudzsak sent off for the Dutch side. As it stands Hamburg are through on away goals.

Anderlecht 3-0 Athletic Bilbao (Mbark Boussoufa 50'). The Belgian side are 4-1 up and coasting through

Mascherano goes into the ref's notebook following a foul, and the free-kick is wasted by a disspirited Unirea.

Jamie Carragher goes off to be replaced by youngster Martin Kelly

Onofras goes off in a final change for Unirea. On comes Antonio Semedo

Semedo instantly clashes with Skrtel and the Slovakia international is down in pain

Skrtel will go off on a stretcher

Skrtel will be replaced, with Sotirios Kyrgiakos coming on

Bilasco almost gets in, but Kyrgiakos is alive to the danger

And now Maftei tries a shot, which turns out to be more of a cross-shot and flies across the face of goal

Marseille 2-0 FC Copenhagen (Bakari Kone 61'). The French club now lead 5-1 on aggregate and will play Benfica.

Galatasaray 0 - 1 Atlético Madrid (Simão 63'). Atletico lead 2-1 on aggregate

AS Roma 2 - 3 Panathinaikos (Daniele De Rossi 67'). Agg: 4 - 6

Anderlecht 4 - 0 Athletic Bilbao (Jonathan Legear 68'). Agg: 5 - 1

Galatasaray 1 - 1 Atlético Madrid (Abdulkader Keita 66') Agg: 2 - 2

Shakhtar Donetsk 1 - 1 Fulham (Rodrigues Jadson 69') Agg: 2 - 3

Free-kick to Unirea, it was floated in from the right and easy for Reina

Yossi Benayoun is replaced by Fabio Aurelio

Guy Demel is sent for for Hamburg at PSV. It's 10v10 in Holland

Free-kick again for Unirea, it's terrible and headed away without clearing the first red shirt in the box

And yet another free-kick, this time out on the right. Can Unirea deliver better this time? Semedo was fouled.

Nope, poor delivery again. And when it's lumped back into the box for a second time Reina can clear.

PSV Eindhoven 2 - 2 Hamburg SV (Piotr Trochowski 79') Agg: 2 - 3. And PSV now need two goals to go through

Agger wins a free-kick for backing in by Bilasco

Marseille 3 - 0 FC Copenhagen (Bakari Kone 77') - a game which has long since been decided

Six minutes left here. Unirea have been neat and tidy at times but they just have no threat up top

Great cross from the left, Bilasco is denied by a great save from Reina and Paduretu just cannot get to the rebound in front of Insua

Caner Erkin 82 is sent off for Galatasaray. (Galatasaray 1 - 1 Atlético Madrid). This game is heading for extra-time

Arlauskis palms away a shot from Gerrard from an impossible angle

Marseille 3 - 1 FC Copenhagen (Ailton Jose Almeida 86') A consolation

Free header for Semedo at the far post, but he heads harmlessly wide

PSV Eindhoven 3 - 2 Hamburg SV (Danny Koevermans 90'). PSV still need another. Hamburg in front on away goals

Lucas sees his shot turned around the post

That's it, full-time in Romania.

Even though Unirea scored first, it turned out to be a simple night for Liverpool. 1-4 on aggregate
