   Sun Jihai loses out on the right after McManaman's low ball into the box rebounds away. City rebuild though

   Sommeil makes ground down the City left to hook a cross from wide out. Keller collects

   First threat from Keane - an ambitious drive from 30 yards which Seaman watches skid wide

   Richards clears after Wright-Phillips latches onto Jihai's ball to cross from the byline. Neat stuff from City down the right

   Kanoute miscontrols with the goal at his mercy from six yards. City can bundle it behind

    City asleep there as two crosses were allowed to drop. The corner goes deep to Gardner but he slices well wide

    Sinclair rises free as a bird to meet Tarnat's ball from deep - 12 yards out but the England man gets it all wrong and plants his header wide. No sign of any defending there and Sinclair should have done a lot better

    A passage of sloppy play is broken by Anelka's delightful backheel. Wanchope is through on goal but scuffs his shot and keeper Keller can gather low to his right. Great chance again

    Seaman slices behind as Distin panics under pressure from Keane
