1. Hello, welcome to our coverage of Iran v Angola from Group D.

2. Angola can still qualify for the second round if they beat Iran and Mexico are beaten by Portugal, so there is still everything to play for in Leipzig.

   Angola need to be positve this afternoon; a point won't be enough for them. Iran are just playing for pride.

   It is another warm - not hot - afternoon in Germany; nothing that these players can't handle. Angola should be able to play at a decent tempo, should they need to force the issue.

   Angola have defended with resilience so far this tournament, only conceding one goal, against Portugal. They are an organised and hard-working side.

   Despite Angola needing a win, they have started the match with a 4-5-1 formation, with just captain Akwa up front. They will need to get men up to to support him if they are to get the result they need.

   It has been a quiet opening to the match; neither side have been able to get hold of the ball in a decent position.

    Nosrati tries to beat Loco inside the Angola penalty area, but the Angolan was too strong for him and robs the ball.

    GOOD CROSS! Kalanga sends in a good cross from the right, but it is easily repelled by the Iranian defence.

    Angola have made something of a cautious start; they obviously don't want to commit too many men forward in these early minutes.

    OOH! Mateus bursts forward in support of Akwa; he gets on the end of a knock-down and fires in a first-time shot, but his effort is well off-target.

    IRAN SUB: Nosrati is replaced by Shojaei; the Iranian left-back couldn't continue after picking up a calf strain.

    FINE SAVE! Hashemian breaks in to the penalty area from the left side; he fires a shot in at goal, but Ricardo has his angles right and beats the ball away.

    MADE THE KEEPER WORK! Figeuredo cuts back on to his right side on the edge of the area and drills a low shot, but Mirzapour gets down to save.

    Angola are starting to settle now; they are seeing more of the ball and starting to pick their passes better in midfield.

    We have an Australian referee this afternoon, a Mr Mark Alexander Shield; a very regal name.

    Angola win a corner when Mateus breaks down the left wing and Kaabi is forced to slide in an put the ball out; unfortunately, Mateus appears to have fallen on his elbow, and looks in real pain.

    Mateus is stretchered from the field; he covers his eyes in pain, and it seems unlikely he will return.

    This time Loco and Hashemian clash, 30 yards out of the Angolan goal; free-kick to Iran, and Loco now receives treatment. The Angolans are dropping like flies.

    GREAT SAVE! Teymourian gets on the end of a half-clearance from Ricardo; he fires in a fierce, dipping shot, but Ricardo gets down well to save.

    Rezaei is forced to put a cross out for a corner, with Akwa waiting to pounce. The corner is sent in to the penalty area, but Iran defend it easily.

    Angola will be satisified with their first half; although Ricardo has had to be on his toes in goal, they have created a chance or two of their own, which will encourage them in the second half.

    Miloy makes a good challenge as Mahdavikia had got in around the back at the far post. Angola are looking a little edgy at the back as the game gets stretched.

    Ali Daei looks to be lagging a little now; the 37-year-old seems to be a little off the pace, unsurprisingly.

    HALF-TIME: After a slow start, Angola have warmed to their task. But as the game has got stretched, Iran have started to look good on the break, and finished the half looking like the team most likely to break the deadlock.

    Angola haven't really followed up their goal with a sustained spell of pressure; they look a little tired, if truth be told.

    In truth, Iran probably deserve to be level; they have looked to have the better quality in the final third, and have wasted a couple of really good chances.

    Iran's equaliser has really knocked the wind out of Angola; the tempo has dropped considerably in the last few minutes.
