Bolton Wanderers – Chelsea

1. A Chelsea victory will earn the club their first title in half a century - but Sam Allardyce will be keen to spoil the party. Follow all the action here.

2. Team news: Robben doesn't even make the substitute bench, but Mourinho has picked a strong side as he attempts to win the title in Lancashire.

3. Geremi wins only his tenth start of the season at right-back, and Joe Cole is on the bench, but all Chelsea's other key-men - Lampard, Terry Cech and Gudjohnsen - all start.

4. John Terry has a special kiss for each of his team-mates, and they all seem to appreciate it. A lovely touch. Lampard looks very determined. It's a great atmpsphere inside the Reebok Stadium.

5. Chelsea have brought plenty of travelling support, but the Bolton fans are the ones making the noise; results went their way today as they bid to secure a place in Europe next season.

6. 1'

We're off. Chelsea start through Lampard and Drogba. Geremi gets forward and puts over a very early cross, before Lampard hits a shot at the keeper from 30 yards.

7. 2'

Some dramatic early news as Lampard immediately pulls up after hitting the shot. He's grimacing badly, and holding his hamstring.

8. 3'

Oooh! Bolton win a throw, deep in Chelsea territory. Okocha hurls the ball in, Stelios pounces on a loose ball but Gallas' desperate block means Cech is left with an easy save.

9. 4'

Ben Haim gets a crucial head on Lampard's cross, with Gudjohnsen about to stoop and head on goal. Great defending.

10. 4'

Makalele is booked for jumping in front of Okocha as the Nigerian prepared to take a long throw. The Frenchman looks a little bemused with the decision.

11. 6'

Stunning ball from Okocha to Gardner, hit 40 yards with the outside of his right boot, but the move fails as Terry clears the cross. Chelsea still complain to the referee about Makalele's booking. Get over it.

12. 6'

Diouf is bundled over by Geremi out on the Bolton left. Hierro clips the free-kick in to a crowded, bustling penalty area, and Cech is forced to palm away for a corner.

13. 7'

Another great delivery in to the box from the corner, and Cech again has to come through a crowd of players to punch clear - though not very convincingly.

14. 8'

Bolton maintain the pressure as Diouf wins a corner from Gallas. Gardner swings the ball in, but Davies heads wide under pressure from Terry.

15. 9'

It's been a good, physical opening to the match, with Chelsea prepared to stand firm against Bolton's strong approach.

16. 10'

Ben Haim smashes a long, long ball in to the penalty area for Davies to contest in the air with Carvalho. The Bolton man wins the header, but he's no support.

17. 11'

Cech easily saves a Speed header from around 12 yards. It was a good effort from the veteran midfielder but the save was very comfortable.

18. 12'

Mourinho makes some notes on the sidelines; jotting down his shopping list, presumably.

19. 13'

Terry shows great strength to hold off Diouf down in the corner. It's right in front of the Chelsea fans, who cheer his effort with remarkable vigour.

20. 14'

Drogba collides in the middle of the park with the referee, and ends up on his backside. A nice little light relief in a very tense atmosphere.

21. 15'

Gallas and Diouf tustle on the touchline; that's shaping up to be an interesting battle.

22. 16'

Drogba earns himself a quiet chat with Referee Dunn after complaining loudly about some unseen misdemeanour.

23. 17'

Veteran Hierro latches on to a loose ball on the edge of the area and hits a first-time volley; Cech skips across his goal-line and collects easily.

24. 17'

Tiago loses his cool after the linesman rules that he fouled Gardner as the two fought over a long ball down the channel. He shouts - in Portuguese - at the official, though earns no censure.

25. 19'

Geremi looks dangerous on the rare occasions that he has been afforded the time and space to get forward. He fires over another cross from the right, only a few feet from Gudjohnsen in the area.

26. 20'

Jarosik fires a shot over the bar from 25 yards. Never threatened Jaaskelainen's goal, but worth a go.

27. 21'

Oooh! Bolton win a free-kick centrally, 40 yards out. N'Gotty clips the ball in, Davies shoves off Terry, but his flicked header is saved low down by Cech.

28. 22'

Oooh! A Carvalho slip allows Diouf to break in to the area from the left-hand side. The on-loan striker cuts in and attempts to place a low shot inside the far post, but Terry flies across to make the block.

29. 23'

Allardyce will be very happy with the start that his side have made; they look to be capable of threatening Chelsea, and the champions-elect have offered little going forward.

30. 24'

Diouf over-hits a cross from the right, straight out of play, but he's been a danger in the opening period. He looks fired-up for the match.

31. 25'

Tiago fires a good, low pass out to Gallas, who had found some space out on the left wing. The defender takes his eye off the ball for a split-second and it goes under his foot and out for a throw.

32. 26'

Lampard clips a ball in to the area, looking for Drogba. Jaaskelainen is quickly off his line and takes the cross.

33. 27'

Bolton break very quickly, with 37-year-old Hierro crashing a drive narrowly over the bar from around 30 yards out. He's another Bolton player to have made a good start this evening.

34. 28'

Lampard's free-kick in towards Terry at the far post is fractionally too strong and the ball drifts out of play. Terry looks a little rueful as he makes his way back downfield.

35. 29'

Diouf chats to the referee after failing to win a free-kick decision following a challenge with Geremi. It's all very friendly and amiable; there's even the hint of a giggle from Referee Dunn.

36. 30'

Chelsea are playing very narrow in midfield, and it's not making for very exciting viewing at the moment.

37. 31'

Bolton again play with the 4-5-1 formation that has served them so well this season, with Davies being supported from the flanks by Diouf and Stelios.

38. 33'

A nice piece of football from Chelsea in the final third, though Jarosik's pass through to Drogba is under-hit, and the linesman flagged for off-side anyway.

39. 34'

Other than a few long-range efforts, there hasn't been much in the way of goal-mouth action so far. Chelsea look a little short of ideas without the inventiveness of Cole, Robben and Duff.

40. 35'

Geremi finds Drogba in the area, and the Frenchman attempts an ambitious shot from quite a tight angle. He wins a throw when his effort is blocked.

41. 36'

Okocha prepares to hurl in another long throw, but the tall Jarosik heads clear. He's been brought in to the side today because of his size and strength, and he used it well there.

42. 37'

Stelios requires some treatment on a gash to the back of the head after receiving an accidental elbow from Jarosik. A splash of water and he's fine.

43. 39'

Jarosik collects a knock-down 30 yards out, but he drags his left-foot shot well wide of Jaaskelainen's far post. He's yet to score for Chelsea; it's easy to see why.

44. 40'

Lampard seems to have fully shaken off the strain he suffered to his hamstring or groin in the opening minute; he's moving without obvious discomfort.

45. 41'

There are a few stray boos whenever Gudjohnsen touches the ball; of course, he is a former Bolton player. It's a little harsh to criticise him for leaving for Chelsea, isn't it?

46. 42'

Diouf and Davies put the ball out of play when Terry goes down after a challenge in the air with Davies. The Chelsea captain looks a little groggy as he receives treatment.

47. 43'

A few Chelsea players are surrounding the referee asking whether Davies might have used his elbows as they jumped for a high ball. Terry certainly looks disorientated and sick.

48. 44'

Terry leaves the field for further treatment; perhaps Chelsea want to get through to half-time to see whether they can patch him up for the second half.

49. 45'

Terry jogs back on to the field as the play resumes. He's not long to go before he can have a rest and gather himself for the second period.

50. 46'

Bolton put a little pressure on Chelsea in the final moments of the half, but they can't create anything.

51. 46'

HALF-TIME: Bolton make the running, Chelsea look anxious. No really good chances, though Cech has been the busier of the two goalkeepers. It could be a tense second-half.

52. 45'

Terry has returned for the second half, as has Lampard. The news from the changing room is that Terry has restricted vision in his left eye.

53. 46'

Television cameras pick out Robben and Duff sat behind the big boss - Roman Abramovic - in the stands. The two players look particularly glummy, though Abramovic smiles like a schoolboy.

54. 47'

Tiago dummies, allowing Gudjohnsen to run at the Bolton defence. The tries to slip a return pass through to Tiago, but Ben Haim intercepts.

55. 48'

Drogba gives the ball away with a sloppy pass, but Bolton can't capitalise. This is Allardyce's 150th Premiership match in charge of Bolton. A nice little stat.

56. 49'

Jarosik can't quite slide Gudjohnsen in behind the Bolton defence, Candela reads the pass and intercepts.

57. 50'

Candela earns a booking after tugging at Lampard's arm in midfield. No complaints from the former Roma defender.

58. 51'

N'Gotty gets a crucial boot on Terry's through-ball towards Drogba. It's not been a very entertaining start to the second half, readers.

59. 52'

Gallas gives away a free-kick with a foul on Stelios. Hierro curls the ball in to a crowded six-yard box, but a Chelsea man heads clear.

60. 53'

Stelios then trips Gallas as the French defender bursts down the left touchline. Lampard fires the set-piece in to the area, but again defence comes out on top and the ball is cleared.

61. 54'

Geremi smashes a low shot in from 30 yards. It's blocked by Ben Haim but the loose ball drops to Tiago, who lofts a first-time effort over the bar. Jaaskelainen is very unhappy with his defence for not closing down quickly enough.

62. 55'

Hierro catches Drogba with a high tackle. The Chelsea striker is livid with the challenge, and refuses Hierro's hand. In fact, he makes a bit of a fool of himself with his reaction, to what wasn't a malicious challenge.

63. 56'

Diouf is booked as Geremi collapses under a challenge. Replays show that Diouf didn't even touch the Chelsea man. A ludicrous decision, and Allardyce is furious with the fourth official on the sidelines.

64. 57'

The Bolton boss continues his tirade to the official; the veins in his temple are throbbing with a worrying vigour.

65. 59'

GOAL! Lampard latches on to a Drogba flick on, holds off the defender as he breaks in to the box. He then turns on to his right foot and slams his shot past Jaaskelainen.

66. 60'

The celebrations are wild, ecstatic and long. Lampard is buried under a mountain of blue shirts. When he emerges, he screams his delight at the Chelsea fans and tugs at the club badge on his shirt.

67. 61'

Drogba isn't winning any friends. I certainly don't like him. He screams as he collapses under a challenge from Ben Haim just outside the box. Okay, it's a free-kick; but get up, stop moaning and play the game.

68. 62'

Lampard fires over the free-kick from the right. Carvalho is unmarked only eight yards out but he completely misses his header and the ball flies out of play. Great chance.

69. 63'

SUB: Nolan and Pedersen on, Stelios and Okocha come off. Allardyce decides to make changes as he goes in search of an equaliser.

70. 64'

Drogba is lucky not to get booked after kicking the ball away following a decision that went against him. He complains to Ben Haim about something, and receives a pat on his head for his troubles.

71. 65'

SUB: Drogba off, Huth on. Mourinho perhaps spots that Drogba is getting involved in a number of personal battles, and sends on defender Huth to replace him.

72. 66'

Davies just fails to control a mis-directed shot inside the penalty area, and Chelsea scramble clear. I expect Bolton to put plenty of pressure on the visitors in the final twenty five minutes or so.

73. 67'

Gudjohnsen seems to be playing up front on his own, with Huth simply slotting in to defence to form a back five.

74. 68'

Oooh! Geremi flicks on a long Bolton throw, but Cech makes an incredible reflex save to turn the ball around the post.

75. 69'

The corner almost lands at the feet of Davies, but Jarosik is quick to dive in and swipe the ball clear. Bolton are really turning up the heat.

76. 70'

Chelsea are doing a good job at trying to take the sting out of the game, by hassling the Bolton players in possession and closing down in midfield very quickly.

77. 71'

Gardener slices a left-foot shot wide of Cech's near post when in a good position. He should have worked the keeper, but instead paniced and rushed his shot.

78. 72'

The Bolton fans have gone a little quiet since the Chelsea goal, though the visiting supporters are making the most of the occasion. Abramovic looks nervous in the executive box.

79. 73'

Bolton win successive corners but Chelsea look so determined to hold on to their lead.

80. 74'

GOAL! Superb, incisive Chelsea break results in Lampard strolling unchallenged through the middle, rounding Jaaskelainen and slotting home left-footed.

81. 75'

Bolton simply got caught too high up the field, and Lampard ruthlessly exposed them. Surely that goal seals the title?

82. 76'

Mourinho was dancing with joy as Lampard and his team-mates celebrated what will be the title-winning goal.

83. 77'

Lampard takes a short corner to Gudjohnsen, gets the ball back, and attempts to chip Jaaskelainen from the edge of the area. The goalkeeper collects comfortably on his line.

84. 78'

Referee Dunn gives a free-kick to Chelsea as Gudjohnsen is held back on the edge of the area. The striker would surely have preferred the advantage, however, as he was through on goal with Jaaskelainen.

85. 79'

Lampard takes the free-kick and goes for goal, but Jaaskelainen gets down quickly at his near post to save.

86. 80'

Only ten minutes to go before Chelsea are finally crowned champions. They won't receive the trophy today, I don't think, though that won't matter.

87. 82'

It's a quiet finish to the game, but that's understandable. Chelsea just want that whistle to blow and to allow the celebrations to begin.

88. 83'

Bolton are enjoying a spell of possession, but Chelsea are defending very deep and simply soaking everything up.

89. 84'

SUB: Gudjohnsen off, Joe Cole on. The substitute is booed as he runs on, apparently for an incident that happened when he was playing for West Ham against Bolton two years ago. Football fans have long memories, don't they?

90. 86'

Lampard is eyeing a hat-trick; he again takes a short corner, collects the return and attempts a shot. This time it's blocked on the edge of the area.

91. 87'

Bolton win a corner after Geremi heads clear. Again, the set-piece is curled in to a dangerous area, but Carvalho rises high to head.

92. 88'

A long ball forward sees Cole and Ben Haim tustle, with the defender showing good strength and heart to finally tackle the substitute as he closed in on the penalty area.

93. 89'

Chelsea have matched Bolton's physical approach today, and it has paid off. They have not been intimidated by the home side and have taken their chances.

94. 90'

Four minutes of injury time. The fans are itching for the final whistle. They still look a little tense.

95. 91'

SUB: Makalele off, Smertin on. A time-wasteing tactic from Mourinho, though it also gives the fans the chance to applaud another excellent display.

96. 92'

"We shall not be moved," the Chelsea fans sing.

97. 93'

Robben and Duff wait on the sidelines; they'll be on the pitch at the final whistle. In fact, the whole squad seems to be waiting to make the dash on to the pitch to join the party.

98. 94'

FULL TIME: Chelsea are champions! A Lampard brace wins the title for Mourinho's men.

99. 94'

Allardyce is the first man to congratulate Mourinho. The coach then strolls casually on to the pitch to hug his players.

100. 94'

The Chelsea players go over to their fans to applaud their contribution. A fist-pumping Terry dances his delight as the Champagne is splashed.

101. 94'

The trophy will be presented to Chelsea next weekend in their match at Stamford Bridge. Of course, the celebrations won't be too wild tonight, with the second leg of the Champions League semi-final looming on Tuesday.
